Aww thanks everyone! We had a fun time and I will agree - I enjoy that they are getting more independent as they get older, however I do enjoy the ease of costumes. Nemo was Zoey's costume from 2 years ago and this is how the Snow White costume came about.

"Zoey what do you want to be for Halloween?"
"A princess??"
"How about Snow White?"
"Okay mommy"

:)

Hello Dis-ers. Can I ask you to keep my hubby in your thoughts and prayers. He is a truck driver. He has to deliver a load from southern NJ to Mass tonight into tomorrow. We aren't expected to get the worst of the storm tomorrow night so HOPEFULLY he'll be home before that happens. But if there is a tractor trailer ban he could get stuck out during the worst of the storm. Crossing my fingers and praying he gets home safe. Thanks for your positive thoughts and prayers.

Definitely! Fingers crossed he gets the delivery in and gets out. I hope everyone thoughts are the same and the delivery is fast!

Doing a HUGE happy dance!!!!

I had a brainstorm today that since we have to book our Westie at doggy daycare till Saturday anyway...we might as well just come back on Saturday vs. late Friday afternoon. Since we have a DVC studio we are renting, we couldn't add a day (too much hassle plus prob no availability), so we decided to just go with a value for a night. Found me a Little Mermaid room at AoA!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Super excited that we get to check out this new resort, and hopefully enjoy the Nemo pool! Now I have a wide open night to book an ADR!! hmmmm

I kick myself for not booking 6 nights back in January, so now we get 6 nights. yay yay yay!

That is GREAT news! So happy for you :goodvibes

An hour and a half with nothing?? Where is everyone?? I know ksromack is out of service and discookiemonsta is in a hurricane. No one else has an excuse. No, work is not an excuse. :lmao:

Well, I went to CA to see my daughter who is at college out there, but I'm back now.:) It was a great trip, direct from MT on Allegiant, cost me $88 total RT (plus $30 for my carry-on).:thumbsup2 I wish Allegiant would fly from here to Orlando, I know they fly from some smaller cities further east but I guess from here it's too far.

Sending thoughts and prayers your way for his safe return :grouphug:.

The pink hair is out .... the alternative of electric blue bangs is out ....

I was discussing my options with my DD11 and all I got was  no  no!

I figured that shes at that age where she would die if I turned up at school like that :rotfl:

So, I have settled for Chocolate Brown .... the chocolate bit sealed the deal when I was picking colours and bought myself some new flat irons off Groupon in shocking PINK :teeth:

But isn't it our job to embarrass our kids?

But isn't it our job to embarrass our kids?

:lmao: yes, yes it is .... but I think I've maybe filled my quota for a while. She really wasn't happy about the crazy 1.5" platform with 4" wedgie boots I bought the other week. I thought I was very good because I bought them in a sensible colour - black ;) She is so conservative - it really does make me & DH scratch our heads :confused3

I was going to ask if she gets it from DH, but I guess not. I need a recap. Pink hair is out. You have the pink shoes and bag. Were you allowed to buy any of the other crazy pink accessories we have seen on here?

We've had an ok start to today, but after we left church around 12, the wind had picked up. That's all we have had today is wind. DS's school is closed for Monday and Tuesday and it looks like Halloween is probably going to be a bust this year b/c of Sandy. Which, believe it or not, I'm ok with. We hardly get any kids in our neighborhood anyway.

DS has done an early trick-or-treating with Cub Scouts at a local nursing home, plus got some extra candy at his pack night. He also doesn't need anymore candy. He lost the 7 pounds he gained over the summer and I don't need him gaining it back.

I probably won't be able to get on after tonight. Depending on if we lose power during the night. If so, we could be out for 7-10 days. Yeesh, there's gonna be a lot of pages to catch up on when I come back if that happens :scared1:! Although, DH does have Hot Spot internet with Verizon on his phone, but we'd most likely use that in an emergency since it uses up a lot of battery power.

One thing I have to say that's different with hurricanes now compared to back in the 80's is that we now have cell phones. So if the power does go out, the landlines and VoiP will be down, but the cell phones should work.

Be careful!! I thought of you every time they said Long Island today. Hope the power isnt out too long.

Well, the pink furry legwarmers I found just weren't furry enough so I'm still looking for those. The hat I still need to get.

But my pink flat irons are on their way :teeth:

As someone from/in MA (who used to drive farm trucks laboring) I hope he has smooth safe roads. But I can assure you that there are a lot of truck stops and safe, reputable motels in which to weather the storm. All of which are food and amenities accessible.
