Last year we went the second week of December and it was high 70s everyday and hit 80 two of the days. It got cooler at night, but we never put on long sleeves. But in 2010, people wore coats and gloves during that same week. The normal says high in the 70s and lows in the 50s. I know all of that was very helpful!! :confused3

It was very helpful.. I'll be there second week so. Not sure when we'd have time to use the hot tub/pool anyway. but at least I know the weather (ish) and being from NYC that will be WARM to me at that point.

I thought I'd better clear up the house a bit - Disney has kinda become a priority :lmao:

I'm pretty much done although my front room is still trashed, but thats DD's job when she gets home! I'm one of those crazy Mums (I make other Mums twitch) because I've always welcomed my DD getting everything out and just playing real hard, you're only a kid for short time! .... currently there are 5 of those barbie fold out houses, roads made from cardboard, cars, an RV, barbie dolls, monster high dolls and a Barbie closet explosion - it started off looking like a really nice neighbourhood, now it looks like the rough end of town :rotfl:

Must vaccuum next - oh the excitement :rolleyes2

Ah cleaning....hmm. I should probably do a bit of that this weekend. :rolleyes1

So sad when the neighborhood goes downhill like that. :lmao:

We came from snow and cold in Ohio. I thought I had watched the weather, but somehow I was completely unprepared. I brought a couple pairs of jeans and 1 pair of capris. It was so warm, I did laundry often so I could wear the capris everyday. I plan on bringing a better variety this year!!

Lets not forget our friend discookiemonsta!

Sandy is on track to go right through the Bahamas this morning.

Sandys predicted path

Thinking of you and your family discookiemonsta! Be safe :grouphug:

Yikes! Be Safe.

If that projected path holds true than we will be seeing it by 8 am Tuesday. And here I thought we made it through the season without any hurricanes.

I would love to have a tree in the kitchen too - it would be decorated with fruits and berries and natural twine... I just love that look... but no, don't think I'd have one in the potty... I can just imagine sitting there, doing the deed, and trying to rearrange ornaments and such... too distracting! :rotfl:

:rotfl:

Hi everyone! Boy it's a full time job keeping up! We have some good news and some bad news from our trip planning. First the good: I mentioned to DH that our last day of vacation will end early since we have a 5:30 at BOG and there is a party that night. Guess what he said?!?! He said why don't we use our Disney Visa reward dollars and go to the party again! Woo hoo, what a way to end our vacation!!

Now for the bad. My mom has been having abdominal pain looked at. They have said that she has gallstones and needs her gallbladder out:( :( Her appointment with the surgeon is Tuesday so we'll see what happens. Please send us some pixie dust. :(

I know the feeling. I cleaned the living room a few days ago and it was messed up a few hours later after DS came home. DH also has a bad habit of leaving his popcorn bowl and drink glass in here as well b/c the computer is in the living room. I feel like for every step forward I get, I wind up going 2 steps back after they get home <sigh>.

An hour and a half with nothing?? Where is everyone?? I know ksromack is out of service and discookiemonsta is in a hurricane. No one else has an excuse. No, work is not an excuse. :lmao:

Sorry - it's parent/teacher conferences today and the PTA brought in lunch for us. Had to go play nice for awhile :) Now I'm literally stuck in my office since the 8th graders set up their bake sale table smack in front of my door. I wonder how long it will take me to break and buy a cupcake......... :rolleyes1

Lucky you!! I barely talked DH into going to the party once!! :lmao:

I had my gallbladder out a couple years ago. Assuming there aren't any other medical issues, it is a pretty simple process. I took a week off work, mostly because I was swollen and my work clothes didnt fit right, so I lived in sweatpants.

Do it!! Do it!! You can pretend it is a cupcake from Starring Rolls. :thumbsup2

Ha! I pressed send before I finished my post - still getting used to my new phone. I edited the other post.

LOL. I only saw the edited post and thought cybrkitn couldn't read, or just didnt think an extra party was good news. :rotfl2:

pixiedust: Sending tons of pixie dust your way! My older 1/2 sister had to have her gallbladder taken out a few years ago. Took them 45 minutes once they had her out, and her scar is maybe an inch and a half long, so if she does have to have it out, it isn't a big procedure at all. The doctor even asked her if she wanted to stay awake and watch them take it out :scared:

That is great. That's what I hope for if she has to have it done. They say they'll do it laparoscopically. Do you mind sharing, it that how you had it done?

Yep, that is how I had it done. You are definitely sore the first couple days, like with any surgery, but it really wasn't bad at all. It was outpatient too.

Umm, wasn't 2010 the year where almost every state in the nation actually had a WHITE Christmas? I KNOW that's the year we got almost 4 feet of snow at the house Christmas Eve.............I'm not sure that's the year I'd be basing my packing list off of :confused3

I have a bunch of long slacks that roll up and clip to turn into capris. I'm bringing those and a couple pairs of jeans or cords in case it's really cold at night. And I figure if I "forget" to pack a sweatshirt that's a great excuse to buy one down there, right? :lmao:

Sorry about your Mom. I've had 2 family members have to have their gallbladder removed this year, and one was 4 months pregnant at the time. Good news is they both came out just fine with no problems whatsoever. Hopefully your Mom will be just fine too! :goodvibes
