Now that would be awesome. My all-time favorite (read - softest) sweats are VS Pink - Tampa Bay Rays.

I just bought DH a Mickey polo. He wanted something understated.

Hot Topic had a line of stuff in 2010 that was nice without being cutesy. I got DSis a Maleficent hoodie.

I love the clothes I have from VS. I like the cut and you're right, their cotton stuff is very soft! I own quite a bit of their stuff and always looking to add more! Just wish it wasn't sooo pricey. My DD 14 wants a hoodie from them for Christmas. They're $50! For.A.Hoodie...

so a few times a day, I'm checking the WDW site looking for openings at the dessert party for 12/1... no such luck. Added 12/3 as an option and nope, nothing that night either...

BUT did revisit the calendar for those days and learned that MK added hours (not EMH) but instead of 10pm close time for MK on 12/1 they're open until 1am! Yay! But that's gonna make for a super long day and yes, we'll stay there until close to 1am at least... even if we'll have to be on the road by 4am that morning... LOL :headache:

Oh I didnt think about it not being EMH, so staying offsite you get a late night in MK. Very cool!!! Maybe you can take a nap in the afternoon?? I would be very grumpy. :scared:

Exactly! We'll need something to do after we get back from our trips in December!

I'd like to nominate this for the best comment of the thread award.

LOL... should've added on one of my favorite Urban Cowboy lines... "and all that that implies"...

LOL.

ETA: I just read the lines that I quoted here. Levenhopper's first comment fits in perfectly with this conversation. :lmao:

Must be an Ohio thing, LOL... manfriend will be grumpy too! :lmao:

We're at the Hilton at DTD so we get access to EMH too...

We have an ADR at LTT that afternoon for early dinner - if we leave after that for a nap, my fear is we'd never return that evening... funny how that happens.

Oh I didnt realize you get EMH. Well never mind then.

I have plans for a 1AM MK night. DH is predicting I will make it till about 10. And it is not even our travel day. I have NAP in big letters on my schedule. :lmao:

I just realized we're out of bread. I am not going out tonight. I'll go when it opens in the morning.

Ugh, I'd almost rather make bread than be subjected to walmarts craziness. Good thing for Sheetz/Wawa

There might not be any in the morning! Everyone needs their makings for french toast!
:rotfl2:

Ha ha ha, I swear that's such a northeast thing. Dorms must make everyone breakfast people

So it looks like I am leaving you all. We're having to postpone our trip, my grandmother is not well, spent last weekend on a ventilator. She's home because there's nothing else they can do. They give her 2 months or so. So we're pushing our trip back to late February.

Enjoy your trips, have magical Christmasy times! & shop, shop, shop! pixiedust:pixiedust:

I may peek in from time to time as there seems to be no February thread!? :confused3 :faint:

So sorry to hear that, be strong hun :grouphug:

Glad you were able to just postpone your trip - Feb is a great time to go.

No need to peek, we have officially adopted you now so come and chat anytime :flower3:

Hello everyone:goodvibes Reporting from the Bahamas regarding Hurricane Sandy:rotfl:

Hooray! Glad to hear from you and know that you are all ok and that you have found your cat. Stay safe and YAY for your cable company :thumbsup2

Call me crazy but we have each day planned right down to where we are going to eat including our days off. :D Bring it on, can't wait to get away from this cloudy and cold weather that all the sudden struck here again.

You're crazy .... glad you could join the crazy club :teeth:

I hope I don't get stoned for this... or better yet, get pelted with Mickey-shaped rocks but am I the only one who doesn't get all decked out in Mickey attire at the parks? I like Mickey stuff, don't get me wrong, but with the exception of a few tee's, they're too cutesy for me... BUT I do like the idea of fleece pants with Mickey heads or something like that for lounging around the house - understated, not full on character pics. Does that make sense? Don't know, I'm really trying to like a lot of the character clothes but even the two thermal shirts I bought were too much... Just wondered if I can still be a Disney fan if I'm not wearing Disney clothes... :guilty:

HA! I don't wear Mickey gear either, I have a couple of Disney t-shirts but the other stuff I wear is stuff I wear in every day life (yes, I know, my poor DD) I buy heaps of other stuff at the Disney store though like ornaments & jewelry.

Oh I didnt realize you get EMH. Well never mind then.

We don't nap. We get to the parks at around 9.30 at the latest and leave when it closes .... our latest night (full day) is 11pm which I was kinda bummed about, thats EARLY for me! Really hoping they extend some park hours for me :thumbsup2

Ok, off to do some shopping for Levenhopper now :p

Decided to spend the evening finishing up the Photoshop and Silhouette work for DS's party stuff. Then if the power goes out all I'll have left to do is the hand-cutting and assembling.

DC weather forecast is saying we have a 1 in 3 chance of (a) Direct Hit (b) almost Direct hit and (c) indirect hit. Either way we're in for a lot of rain and high winds; it's just a question of when. Our area already made headlines earlier this year with week long power outages. The problem is we have all above-ground power lines and the power company is terrible at maintaining them, cutting trees, etc. Of course, the last storm cleared out a lot of trees so we shall see.

We decided tomorrow we should get out of the house while we can. So after I hit the grocery store (very early), we're going to head to Virginia to hit a few wineries. We need to pick up our wine club selection and stock up on a few things so it's a good outing. All our favorites are kid and puppy friendly and it's only about an hour away.

I keep forgetting you aren't far from me, as I'm in MD too. At least they seem to be better prepared now than that Derecho at the end of June! We actually didn't lose power at all, as BGE had actually trimmed all the trees in my neighborhood the week before, but a ton of my clients were out for a week. I'm a pet sitter, so I still got to go to homes with no power that whole week. Better not be a redo of that! Really hoping we get the indirect hit, as I HAVE to go out to houses to care for pets no matter what the weather is like, even in hurricane/TS force winds and rain. :(

Kathy - questions for you - are you getting a 2' or a 3' tree? How many ornaments did you make? And how big are they?

I'm trying to visualize a 3' tree and figure out what I need.

I'm in Montgomery County - Pepco territory. We got the worst of that last one.

There are detailed descriptions of all the scenarios on the Wash Post - Capital Weather Gang site. It doesn't look like the indirect hit is much better. Just pushes it off a couple days. And apparently an indirect hit for us, means a direct hit for NYC. :scared1:

Hello everyone:goodvibes Reporting from the Bahamas regarding Hurricane Sandy:rotfl: Well, Sandy is definitely unpredictable....she was supposed to breeze through overnight and be long gone, but oh no...the Bahamas are just way too beautiful so she decides to take her sweet time slowing down during the night...It was a miserable night! The worst should have been over by 2 am, but when we got up at 8 am it was still blowing a hurricane outside and since we didn't have power, we had no clue that she had slowed down significantly and the eye wasn't over us until sometime this morning about 9 am roughly.

Now it has been pretty calm for hours and there have been some conflicting stories...had the storm passed finally? OR was it the eye over us and the worst was yet to come? With most typical hurricanes the worst is usually after the calm of the eye, but Sandy is not a typical formed hurricane, so it is actually quite confusing :headache:

As far as we can tell, we will still get 50mph + winds this afternoon into tonight. Hopefully by tomorrow she will be all gone. We do have a lot of our shutters open right now to get some breeze (we have shutters that fortunately close from the inside of our house!)

We have generator power right now and thanks to our Cable company (my internet and cable) being tied into the hardware store on the island, we will have Cable/internet as long as the hardware has their generator turned on!!!

My husband and I had a miserable night, but of course the girls slept right through everything! Oh, and some good news...I finally found my other cat, Pookie! She looks a little shook up and wet, but once she smelled the can of cat food, she was hopping right towards me (YES, she hops when she gets excited...her original name she came with was Bunny and now we know why, lol :rotfl2:)

I'm really hoping that by tomorrow we might get power again!!! I'm really praying for all of you that are in Sandy's expected path. It is definitely a huge storm that we've been feeling now for 3 days now.

Please stay safe, everyone!!!

I just keep telling myself, 48 more days until Disney:cheer2:

Glad everyone is doing ok and that you found your cat. The governor of New York has already declared a state of emergency and it hasn't even arrived yet. it's supposed to start hitting us by Sunday night. I'm hoping it won't be bad and we lose power. I don't know if I can handle another Gloria type hurricane again.
