Glad you are safe. This storm is WILD. We are on her target list and it's crazy around here. I'm running out for extra batteries and water in a little bit and stocking up on some non perishables. Praying if we lose power it isn't to long. Hope the worst is over for ya

I just realized we're out of bread. I am not going out tonight. I'll go when it opens in the morning.

I hope I don't get stoned for this... or better yet, get pelted with Mickey-shaped rocks but am I the only one who doesn't get all decked out in Mickey attire at the parks? I like Mickey stuff, don't get me wrong, but with the exception of a few tee's, they're too cutesy for me... BUT I do like the idea of fleece pants with Mickey heads or something like that for lounging around the house - understated, not full on character pics. Does that make sense? Don't know, I'm really trying to like a lot of the character clothes but even the two thermal shirts I bought were too much... Just wondered if I can still be a Disney fan if I'm not wearing Disney clothes... :guilty:

My partner and I don't, really. I have one thermal shirt (plus a surprise one for her) and I think she may a Minnie Mouse shirt, a Captain EO shirt, and maybe one or two other. And of course you can be a fan! I'm hoping to get maybe one shirt while we're in WDW, but I'm not gonna cry if I can't find one (that I can afford) that I like.

I have sweats with mickey heads on the bottom that I wear on the plane. I have some shirts (mostly Minnie) but beyond that I pretty much pack nothing but jeans and white and black t-shirts in long and short sleeves. DSis has a few shirts but mostly Maleficent. She's not into cutesy at all.

Of course, I do have my Minnie ears ball cap. ;)

Awesome... makes me feel better... like, I'm sitting here thinking I need to be more excited about buying clothes in advance to wear at the parks and stuff, but I just can't get all worked up... I tried, I bought me and manfriend our shirts but they just didn't get me fired up the way I'd hoped. Then when they didn't fit - I didn't get sad at the thought of not wearing them after all... I'm more excited about our long-sleeved football shirts! I know, it's weird...:confused3

I don't own a single Disney clothing item. I have a La Nouba hoodie and that's it. And I'm still mad about Disney. One does not need to be decked out in character clothes from head to toe to still be a HUGE Disney fan!

This is funny! I'm known as the Johnny Cash of our department because I'm always wearing some form of black... black skirts, black slacks, black tops, or grey anything... I own 7 pairs of black stilettoes and always in the market for more!

Who wears Mickey attire at the parks??? That just sounds crazy. :rolleyes1

Feeling so much better! Why can't Disney partner with Nike or Under Armourfor women's wear? They have great Nike golf polos for men (no, I don't want a polo) and it's understated-Disney at it's best! Or partner with Victora's Secret and their Pink line to add a little hidden Disney magic?

Actually, last trip I just had one Disney shirt.

THIS trip however we have matching shirts coming for christmas pictures. :)

Our school district mascot is Pirates, and my youngest heard Tink will act scared if you have pirate attire on, so she REALLY wants to wear some of her pirate bling to MK.

Uh huh... you and your bad self! That's who! Don't make me reprint your shopping spree of the last few weeks, missy! :cool2:

Thought of you today when manfriend was wearing his Ohio ballcap... He's an Ohio native (well, he thinks he is because he lived there as a boy for all of 7 years) then moved here to SA... but still wears their colors on game day...

I don't get dressed up in mickey gear either :) I do like getting little things here and there. Like I have the popcorn buckets, and some kitchen stuff. I buy cute disney clothes for my girls to mix in with the regular clothes. I wouldn't mind mickey PJ's or slippers. However, I will definitely get stoned for this I do not own a mickey t shirt... Hehe

My criteria for Disney is - comfortable, easy to pack and looks good in pics. Hence a large stock of Gap t-shirts.

I did buy a long-sleeve gray one on this last order. ;) and a new pair of jeans.

There are a couple WS shirts in there, but yeah the rest are Mickey, Minnie or Muppets. Not exactly subtle. :goodvibes

You can take the boy out of Ohio, but you cant take the Ohio out of the boy. :confused3 Go Bucks!!!!

Now that would be awesome. My all-time favorite (read - softest) sweats are VS Pink - Tampa Bay Rays.

I just bought DH a Mickey polo. He wanted something understated.

Hot Topic had a line of stuff in 2010 that was nice without being cutesy. I got DSis a Maleficent hoodie.

I bought a couple of the 2012 tees for this trip since it's a milestone for me. Beyond that I have one tee from Disney Store that has a shoe on it and says And she lived happily ever after.

I'm planning on jeans and my plain tees from Ann Taylor most days. Maybe a pair of capris or two.

so a few times a day, I'm checking the WDW site looking for openings at the dessert party for 12/1... no such luck. Added 12/3 as an option and nope, nothing that night either...

BUT did revisit the calendar for those days and learned that MK added hours (not EMH) but instead of 10pm close time for MK on 12/1 they're open until 1am! Yay! But that's gonna make for a super long day and yes, we'll stay there until close to 1am at least... even if we'll have to be on the road by 4am that morning... LOL :headache:

I'm sorry about your grandmother :grouphug: stay strong!

Oh and feel free to peek all you want - just bc we are the December thread doesn't mean we don't want you around! I'm sure we would all love to help in your February planning and be there for you during the tough time you have ahead....

Exactly! We'll need something to do after we get back from our trips in December!

I'd like to nominate this for the best comment of the thread award.
