Has anyone used super shuttle to get from airport to an off site Orlando hotel? We're still trying to figure out best/cheapest way to get from MCO to Royal Pacific Resort.

We've only used Mears and Tiffany Towncar.

How many in your group?

We have 6. Tiffany Towncar quoted us $135, which includes from MCO to HRH, and then HRH to Animal Kingdom Lodge the next day (with 30 min grocery stop on the 2nd leg).

One way might be cheaper.

Check your southwest flights - there is a cyber monday sale today. I added $8 more to my travel bucks. Almost up to another ticket to Orlando, just have to worry about the back! (and of course the rest of the $$ it would cost to do WDW in 2013) :lmao:

Funny enough my flights are about $60 more today than when I bought them in September, so I'm leaving them alone!:goodvibes

I've posted this question over on the CBR thread, but it doesn't move as fast as this one does!

My mom does not want to carry a bunch of smaller bills on her when we leave on Thursday. She has a few large bills and was wondering where she can go to break them down into smaller bills. I think it would be better for her to go to the bank and have it broken down before we go, but she doesn't want to do that. Can anyone help me with this?

I'd travel with smaller bills...only because she might need them for tipping (skycap, bell services, etc) early in the trip.

If she's dead set against it...the front desk at our hotel has always been willing to break larger ($50, for us) bills down into smaller denominations. I'm not sure how enthusiastic they'd be if handed a large amount of money, all at once, and asked to perform that courtesy (they may not mind at all..not sure)...but they may be willing to do it, in small quantities, on a daily basis.

I agree with pilferk, both the front desk and OPR should do it, but she may want to break at least some of them beforehand, and just do a few if she still needs them smaller once she is there. I do understand not wanting that many bills on her for the flight, so maybe just break one of the larger bills before you go and worry about the rest while there?

I did see that. Walmart was the only other place I saw them at all. But The shipping was only slightly cheaper to get it there by Friday and I have a credit on Amazon right now.

So Im kicking myself now for not ordering last week. But what's done is done.

Flights of Wonder.....is that having to do with birds? In any case that's the one. We've not seen it before.

Yup, definitely birds for flights of wonder and, if you haven't seen "a bird show" at AK before, the one you're thinking of.

I asked only because I've seen folks talk about "the birds show they saw last time", in other conversations, and have it turn out to be the Pocahontas (which also had birds..and other critters) show...which isn't there anymore.

You were on there for Dec. 1st. Is your date different?

I guess I didn't read Wedgie's post correctly then... maybe she listed only the people leaving before 12/01?

I took him to see Book of Mormon for his birthday. I could do another Broadway show, or maybe arrange to get a group together for karaoke one night.

I just want something for him to open that will wow him, but won't cost me too much money. Even his ex-gf who we're friends with says he's impossible to shop for. I'm hoping I can find something while we are at Disney. He buys everything he wants and the things he hasn't bought yet are out of my budget this year. :(

This is my DBF... so I decided I'd get him a small gift for every day of our trip - kinda like a continuation of our anniversary; part II...

so for

Day 1: (you inspired me here) the stocking from Disney Floral with his name embroidered

Day 2: I preordered the Dark Knight Rises movie from Amazon. Printed the receipt and he'll get that in an envelope (he was going to take a cab to the closest Target or WM from our resort on 12/4 because it's imperative he own it the day it's released :rolleyes2 ) It'll be delivered to our house and be there when we get home the next day...

Day 3: His fave snack Gheradelli (sp?) chocolate covered almonds (somehow need to find a way to purchase these at DTD while we're there and manage to hide them) no clue how I'll do this...

Day 4: Mickey Nike golf polo

If I can't get to DTD on my own or into these places without his knowledge then Day 3 & 4 are getting scrapped and he'll just get the first two...

Did you try Michael's or another craft store? They tend to sell sheets individually or in smaller packs

There really isn't a Michael's that's easy for me to get to and I won't have time to run into NJ this weekend.

This is the downside to living in Manhattan. The only Michael's is at least 2 bus transfers away.

Ok I dont know if any of you will know this answer... does anyone know when Disney will frown about a family of 3 riding together? Last trip DD, DH, and I rode everything together including Dumbo, TSM, Nemo etc. I am trying to figure out if we will be able to do it again this rtip or need to split up.

Dis Buddies, I present to you our newest fur baby, DOBBY (the House Corgi)!

We picked him up on Black Friday (7 hours round trip in a car, one dog going down there and two coming back, hope to NEVER have to repeat that!), and he has been terrorizing the house ever since.

4 grown adults over the age of 30 sat down to decide on a name and we picked one from Harry Potter :rotfl: Mom and I being English teachers wanted something out of British literature seeing as how the breed originated in Wales, and Dad said we should name him Dobby after the House Elf because of his big ears.

He's pretty much the reason I haven't been posting much the past week. I'd rather forgotten how big a PITA baby puppies are. After getting up 4 times in the middle of the night last night to take the little dude outside for potties (in the freezing weather) he ceased being quite so cute :rotfl2:

Look at that little fuzzball! What a cutie! Hopefully he'll settle in soon!

Could you make him something? One year I made a book of poetry (from favorite authors) and printed it out in paper and bound it in a worn leather scrapbook... As cheesy as it was he loved it....

I called her a few minutes ago and tried to change her mind, but she said she doesn't want her wallet to be so thick. So I asked her, "Why don't you just ask for an envelope and put that in your pocket book?" She doesn't want to do that :confused3. But she has decided to do what you mentioned above - she's going to break down I think one of the larger bills before we go.

I think she's still a little nervous about going. She's 66 and this is her first time back without my father, who passed away 4 years ago. The last time we all went as a family was in 93 when my brother graudated from high school. Back then, my father was the one who planned everything and told her not to worry about it as he had it all under control. And she didn't.

He is ADORABLE!!!!!!!!! :lovestruc And I love the name.

Good luck with getting up so often. Just remember in a few months he will be able to hold it all day, and you'll miss when he was so tiny! Glad he is working out well. How is he getting along with your other dog?

Have you tried Staples or Office Max? I was looking about a week ago and saw smaller packs there, but they are pricey b/c IIRC, they're the Avery brand.

If you were closer (like in Suffolk County), I'd give you some of ours. DH bought a whole ream of white cardstock a few years ago and we still have plenty left.

I think I might end up buying some things for him while we are there. I also found a tungsten ring on Amazon that I think he'll like.

I think I found a "craft" store not far from me that does paper crafts. Maybe they sell card stock in singles!

My local Walmart and Target have both started carrying good quality card stock too, so if there is one of those close by try them. My closest Walmart actually just added about 4 aisles of crafting supplies and I got some card stock there.
