It's on Frankford Ave, in the Northern Liberties/Fishtown area.
Is it terrible that I had to google that, because I had NO idea where we were that night? Haha.
How nice of them to offer! Is it an actual possibility that they could or was it just in jest? Hope you find out tomorrow!![]()

Our rule is: Thanksgiving has to be over.
Within a couple of days after...we deck the halls, inside and out.
This year, the outside was done on Friday (because it was warm!).
Inside was done Saturday.
I had the same problem 6 years ago with the pressure on the plane ride home. I was fine with take off from NY and landing in FL as well as taking off from FL. But once we started to get closer to NY, the pressure was just too much for me and I was in excrutiating pain that I had tears coming down my face. The pain lasted for about 1-2 weeks before everything returned to normal.
This time I'm not taking any chances with my seasonal allergies and sinus issues. I've read about Earplanes on several threads and forums on these boards and went out and bought them last week at my local Rite Aid. The cost was $8 and change for just one box of 2 and can only be used for one round-trip flight. A bit pricey IMO and I hope worth it.
I've also got my Vick's Sinex nasal spray to use to help with my sinuses right before we go. Because I get sinus headaches due to pressure changes with the seasons (summer to fall and winter to spring) I will have my Excedrin with me as well.
My partner and I were actually talking about a possible Disneyland trip next year. It looks pretty affordable for 4 days/3 nights staying at one of the good neighbor hotels across the stress. We might have a Disney trip next year after all.
We did this for Sissy's 30th Birthday back in April. Worked out to be about $500 per person, which included 3 nights at the hotel, park passes, air and RT transportation to/from the airport. We stayed in the Best Western Park Place Inn & Suites and it was fantastic. BIG, newly updated rooms and literally right across the street from the main entrance to the parks.

I have no idea what to buy DBF for xmas. Anything he wants he buys himself. I did promise him 2 new shirts while we are at Disney. He loves the Hawaiian shirts at the Poly.
I'm considering an external battery pack for when we are out and his battery is going low.
But I'm really at a loss. He does so much for me..
Fantastic! I feel pretty out of my depth when trying to figure the Disneyland stuff out. Do you have any hints on where to find deals/promotions or sites/blogs to follow?
Ok *frantically swishes around in the drawer full of crayons, stickers & silly bands desperate for a real grown up writing implement!!*

DL isn't nearly as complicated as a trip to WDW. It drove me BONKERS because it was entirely too easy to plan![]()
I found the best deal on the hotel by far from booking directly through Best Western. You do want to price out booking everything separately vs. booking a package deal for air/hotel. Also, check Costco and AAA for travel packages or deals on tickets if you are a member, sometimes they have really good deals for DL. Super Shuttle had by far the cheapest rate to get to/from the airport, especially if you use the coupon code they always have in the Entertainment books.
We live in KC, so are on Central time. By taking a 6 am flight and factoring in the time change (back 2 hours) we were able to get checked into the hotel and to the park gates by 10:30 in the morning, so you can get an entire extra park day in without adding an extra night at the hotel if you're willing to get up early and sleep on the plane.
The DL forum here has a ton of wonderful information, and everything I couldn't figure out from the info here I found on Touring Plans.
Oh, and avoid weekends if at all possible. The Thurs and Fri we were there the place was virtually deserted, but the Sat. was wall to wall people with insane waits for everything by 10:30 in the morning!
Anyone planning a late start to AK? It's an option for us if we need it. The thought of not being there for RD scares me but I get cranky when I'm tired![]()
