That reminds me - I found several hundred dollars of charges to some Asian online gaming company on my debit card yesterday. So now my card is shut off. I have to go to the branch tomorrow to get a temp card. Because I didn't have enough to do. :(

We had that problem a few years ago. Turns out that a restaurant manager was stealing credit and debit card numbers and making personal charges on them. I'm the type that checks our account frequently and noticed it the first time. I checked with DH who didn't know anything about it, but we let it slide the one time. I did alert the bank and we agreed to wait and see if it happens again. It did and we immediately had our cards closed and new ones issued as well as money refunded to our account. We haven't had a problem since.

Hope everything works out for you.

I need an hours widget! Thanks for the reminder. Apparently with Chase (and I imagine the other large national banks) you can do this online, just look under Customer Care (or whatever their contact info is) for "Travel Notification Form". Mine is done now!

DH & DS will be going to get haircuts tomorrow too! DS6 keeps asking for a mow hawk and I told him not in my Disney pictures after the money I spent on Photopass!

I'll check both our banks online and see if we can do that. If not, I'll have to either call them or go down there. The latter isn't too bad. We have 2 different banks and they are across the street from each other.

DH and DS just got their hair cut yesterday. Oh, and DS10 has been asking for a mohawk since he was about your son's age :rolleyes1. Of course we keep telling him no.

DS17 went out for a haircut last June and came back with a Mohawk. He just wanted to see what everyone thought. He made it about 2 days before he went back and had it shaved off :lmao:

Levenhopper - do you want my extra mousekeeping envelopes? Just PM me with your snail mail address and tell me how many you need.

Apparently Levenhopper's been holding out on us. He made some himself. ;)

Anyone else want some? I have about a dozen I don't need for this trip. If your trip isn't immediate, I'd be happy to mail them.

DSis and I got most of the Pixie Dust presents wrapped tonight. I still have a few more to wrap for her but the bulk of it is done.

And DS worked on his Disney Journal SmashBook this weekend. He did the cover, general title page and a title page for this trip. (We're planning to use it for future trips too.) I put together a bag of paper, stickers, journaling cards, Washi tape and some basic tools. The only thing left to do there is pull out the Polaroid printer and make sure it still works. Not sure how much actual scrapping he'll get done on the trip, but if he at least does the journaling then we can assemble when he gets back.

I'm kind if glad Ill be busy at work this week.

Tofubeast - Gorgeous tree!!!

Mom2Cody - 4 hours from Philly would put you about Richmond, VA. I used to drive from Philly to Williamsburg, VA about 3x a year.

I miss listening to Preston & Steve on my drive into the office in the morning.

Valgoof - I hope you get an answer soon.. I really hate being stuck in limbo.

We didn't do anything yesterday. Just sat around and got caught up on Tivo. I made my LGMH. Today we went out for a bit. We were going to go to the movies, but I have an issue paying $18.50 each for a 3D movie or even $14 for the non-3D. I can wait for it to come out on DVD or HBO. We did go to the Holiday Shops at Union Square and to DSW. I bought a pair of winter boots and DBF bought me a pair of pink sparkly heels from Betsey Johnson as one of my xmas presents.

I've been slowly packing. I have my backpack full of stuff I've been collecting and one of my suitcases has the warmer weather clothes in it. I've been keeping a spreadsheet in dropbox that I add to either home or at work as I think of something else that we need to bring. I'll print it out and check things off as I pack them.

In 14 days we'll have been on our train for almost 7 hours! Which puts us almost to the VA/NC state line! :yay:

Is it okay to decorate our windows if we are staying at a mod? We usually do value so I don't know.

DH is out of the area a lot and catches up with P&S on their podcasts. I love them, they are freaking hysterical!!

When we were at POR in Sept 2011 I saw a few decorated but not nearly as many as at a value.

@Tofubeast - loving your tree ... totally gorgeous! :goodvibes:goodvibes

What the heck??? Wow, we pay (peak times) 9.25 regular/11.25 3D. But then I have to sell a kidney to afford the popcorn & drink for us :rotfl:

I live in NYC. When I wasn't working. I'd go before noon for the $9 show. When I saw that it was $18.50 I was shocked. I can buy the DVD for less than the cost of one ticket when it's released. DBF wasn't even phased by the price..

Carrying on with my list ...

Don't forget to pack:

  • Chewing gum if you want it, no gum is sold at Disney, anywhere.
  • Wet wipes
  • First aid - bandaids, antibiotic cream, painkillers, temporary dental filling (because isn't it always when you're on vacay that a filling falls out!!)
  • Aloe Infused fluffy socks - Walmart definitely has them, they feel yum at the end of the day when you're feet are tired :)

We havent heard from Sean today. Hope he survived his bachelor party. :lmao:

Hoping I know something about my trip tomorrow, but it may be Tues or Wed. At Thanksgiving my BIL and nephew both offered to go if DH cant. :goodvibes
How nice of them to offer! Is it an actual possibility that they could or was it just in jest? Hope you find out tomorrow! ::yes::

I tried telling him no, but DH thinks we should humor him (then he got together with my travelling companion's DH whose DS4 also wants a mohawk so now they have a mohawk party planned ... ). :rolleyes2

I wish I could use them but it wouldn't get here by Thursday. Due to the nature of DVC, we only get 2 Trash & Towel cleanings, no full cleanings since we're moving rooms after 5 and 6 nights, so I only need a few and was just going to go with regular white ones that say "Thanks".

Here' s how I passed my time this afternoon:

All my Disney indoctrination on my DD (2) has worked. The first thing she said upon seeing the tree was "DONALD!!!"

Then, "Minnie" and "Mickey" as she spotted all the Disney ornaments. I sure love that kid!!

Pretty tree! It looks big and beautiful :)

Last night I made gift tags for all the pixie dust presents. I'm waiting for dS to go to bed now so DSis can wrap the gifts. The list is getting smaller.

Oh no regarding your debit card! They had on the news this past week a warning about bringing wrapped presents on the plane.....I'm not sure if it was just checked luggage or carry-on luggage....I thought of you, Terri....I never thought it would be a problem but who knows?

Pulling out my "Blissful Moisturizing Socks". That's what mine are called, I just looked at the package. I hadn't thought of those! Thanks, chief!

We paid $18.50 for 3D last week in a suburb halfway between DC and Baltimore.

It's always a risk that they'll open them. But we've never had one opened yet. Not a huge deal if they do.
