Good morning all!!! I only have 6 days left until my trip, and I'm starting to panic!!!! But not too bad, I know I have the majority of stuff done, it's just all the little stuff left that I don't have time to do.

As it is now I only got 2 hours of sleep last night thanks to insomnia, got up at 4am for work and am working 18 hours today. I'm so tired already and have almost 12 hours to go!! :faint:

Gooooood Moooooorrrrnnning December DIS'ers!

So in one week from this very moment, I should be in the air on my way to warm, sunny (yes I am talking to you mother nature... you heard me right it will be sunny) WDW!!! I am very excited. So I got the great news that SIL&BIL will be there from Saturday evening until Wednesday morning!!

Her birthday is on the 7th (a few days after they leave) but trying to think up a nice surprise other than cake. Might have to sit down with DH at somepoint and figure it out.

:goodvibes

So now that in a week I will be on my way I really need to get myself motivated. By Sunday I plan on having everything packed (minus things like DD's small blankets, sleeping loveys, some toiletries etc) House will be cleaned top to bottom and my travel packet (tickets, vouchers, etc)

However I am feeling sick  So is DH... I'm congested and my sinus hurts. Here is to hoping it goes away quickly and my DD's don't get sick.... I almost want to keep DD3 out of preschool this week because of all the germs!

I'm starting to feel a little sick and my sinuses are bothering me too, which is unfortunately normal for me. I'm doing Airborne and Vitamin C drops like crazy!! No being sick at WDW for me :rotfl: Hope you guys feel better soon!!

Good morning everyone.

Hopefully everyone is recovering nicely from their food comas.

Back at work for one more day. Hopefully all is smooth and easy today.

I was informed that tomorrow is my bachelor party, and I'm to be ready at 8am.

That's the extent of the information I've been given.

Nervous...

:scratchin

Woohoo! Have fun at your Bachelor Party ;)

There will be a plethora of pictures, don't worry.

And then wayyyyyy too many from the honeymoon. We're big fans of food porn, specifically. :thumbsup2

And we could all use more coffee..

I love weddings. We're (oops, make that I'm) a big food porn fan as well! I'm basically a huge camera buff. If you see a short brunette with a camera up to eyes along with a tall man... That could be me!

Had a nice coupon for the local craft shop so I got some stuff to do a scrapbook post trip. It won't be ANYWHERE as cool/fancy as some of you true scrapbookers, but it will be something. hahah.

That's the extend of my BF shopping. The rest of the day will be spent chasing our 2 yo around the house or playground.

Hope you all are having an enjoyable day!

I know I probably bore everyone on here talking about the wedding to death, but it's literally ALL that's been on my mind lately!

I should have been more clear. One more day for this week.

Then four next week, then 18 days off.

UGH!

I'm enjoying hearing about wedding and how excited you are too! Keep it up :-)

I hope you feel better very soon! Sinus stuff is the worst :(

So I went to the mall, got a good parking spot, got the last one of the item I was looking for, and got a few more items for the kids for Christmas at 50% off. Yay!! All in just over 2 hours including the 10-minute each way drive.

I'm dealing with the insomnia and the sinuses too. I don't feel congested but my face hurts. That can't be a good sign. :(

Poor you, hope it passes soon.

Although don't tell my Mum your face hurts .... its her favourite line ..... "Is your face hurting? Its killing me!" then she doubles up in laughter ... never gets old for her :rolleyes2

Sounds like you got lucky with the shopping. I hate shopping in stores on the best of days. No way I'm setting foot in one this weekend.

Though I do have to take DS to the mall to get his haircut next week. Ugh!

Ok, so I almost don't want to report this because its hard just thinking about it, but we're back to Plan B. still not official enough to cancel the ressies but at this point none of us see a way to make Plan A work.

Last week at the family party FIL looked good and we decided to go with Plan A plus wheelchair. So I booked the chair and spent the week working on decorations for both rooms. What I did not realize was that for the next two days after the party, he could barely move around the house. It's not just a question of how far he can walk, but how long he can even sit up without exhausting himself. Yesterday they came over around 2pm and by 6pm his back hurt from sitting up and supporting the neck brace. He just isn't going to be able to do it and he'll likely be miserable if he tries.

I'm at work until 1pm today. So trying not to think too hard.

Oh so sorry to hear that Terri :( It must be so tough on your ILs to make a decision.
I hope you all get some resolution soon and also your FIL starts feeling better soon :grouphug:

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!! I am surviving at my in-laws, but yesterday afternoon I started getting the body aches and sore throat, by 10pm I could barely move. I passed out into bed. I feel a little better today, but not much. I took Tylenol and some Robitussen...

I went shopping this AM at 7 with my mom... The Target and Wal-Mart we went to were dead!!! Disney Store was busy, but good deal of 20% off your purchase before 10am.

6 days for us! We are getting down there. I can't wait to be able to go home and get stuff ready!!!

We are headed to our second mall of the day. The first one was insanely packed and HOT! I went into the Disney outlet, but there was nothing there I wanted to wait in line for.

I'm so sorry, but it does sound like it is best if he doesn't go if it would be that painful for him. I hope he improves soon and is feeling stronger and healthier everyday.

Thanks!

Not at all! I'm enjoying hearing about it, too.

Well, now I don't feel too bad. :thumbsup2

Speaking of weddings, we invited Mickey and Minnie, and Cinderella and Prince Charming.

We got a cute little postcard from Mickey and Minnie, and nothing from Cinderella.

We're always waiting on our response from the Obamas. haha

My teeth hurt... However totally understand insomnia and the face hurting... I am hoping biscuits and homemad butter help my sinuses...

My DH laughs at me so hard when I tell him my face hurts!!!

Wow, a bachelor party starting early in the morning instead of in the evening?! I'd be nervous too! :rotfl2: Hope you have a great time!
I really like her writing style. Eat Pray Love is a good book, and I've been meaning to get/borrow this one. Thanks for the reminder :-)
I liked parts of Eat Pray Love, mostly the Italy part, but I honestly enjoyed Committed a lot more. Maybe just because I read it first/was more interested in the topic? Dunno, curious to see what others think comparing the two.
They speak Farsi. Even though I'm trying to learn it, my vocabulary is limited to animals, numbers and the days of the week. I do want to say that they aren't intentionally being rude, his grandmother doesn't speak much English and Farsi is their first language (except DBF). He does translate some things, and if I'm being asked a question they do all ask me in English. I just get frustrated sometimes.

What language does your family speak?
My grandparents and their siblings speak Japanese and English pretty interchangeably (most were born/all were raised American, so its early 1900's version of Japanese), but mostly its the old people part that makes it boring as my body hasn't broken down yet. Even when I can understand them I'm bored as I don't want to hear about which of their contemporaries has died and how their health has deteriorated since the last time they saw each other. My Japanese is limited to incidental expressions/epithets you shout at children (lots of "get out of bed" "get to work" "I'm so cold!" "are you hurt?" "stop doing that!" sort of things), which isn't terribly useful either. ;) And food of course, which is a lot more useful. After WWII they didn't want the next generations to seem less than American so none of us were taught the language, very deliberately, though a few of my cousins went to school to go learn it.

We like hearing about weddings because we all fondly remember our own. Not boring at all.

Oh I'm so sorry. Its a good thing you didn't cancel Plan B reservations. I'm sure you'll have a great trip either way and hopefully soon your in-laws will feel up to making a trip of their own.

I'm off to the hospital today. Last night we thought my grandfather had a stroke but it turns out its just large amounts of fluid on the brain, which explains a lot of other problems he's been having. Now we're waiting on the neurologist for a recommendation since surgery isn't a good idea at his age. :sad2:

Just saw a Chef Mickey for 7:35 am 12/8, Crystal Palace 8:05 am 12/7....
Both for a party of 6....
