PART FIVE!! *December 2012 Roll Call* Holidays, FLE & MVMCP!! A very, merry thread!

Quick recap of MVMCP (12/9) and our day today:
Highlights of MVMCP:
DD's CRT birthday dinner. Our server, Nabil, was wonderful. We added on the HRH package. He brought her tiara out on a pillow and had me crown her. The cake was more than enough for 8 people. Of course, I cut very small pieces because we were all stuffed from our dinner! Snow White was the only princess to give any attention to my baby niece. The other princesses ignored her completely. Ariel had the best interaction with my daughter, though.
Enchanted Tales with Belle. The posted wait time was 40 minutes, but the CM said it was more like 25. The line moved very quickly. DS was picked to play Beast! It was priceless.
Fireworks. We were standing beside the carousel. Fireworks were going off all around us!
Space Ranger Spin. DS got 500,000 points!

Lows of Christmas party:
BIL and SIL did not buy party tickets, so had to be escorted out after our CRT dinner. MIL and FIL had party tickets, but decided to walk out with them. They waited 45 minutes for an escort! People were irate, for good reason. Disney will be receiving quite a few letters about that (there were 3 other families waiting with them).
My children, who were still running circles at midnight after the MNSSHP three years ago, could not stay awake. DS fell asleep on the sidewalk while waiting for the 10:30 parade. They were tired and whiny.

Highlights of today (Epcot):
FIL chosen to play King Arthur in street show.
Agent P's Adventures was cute.
Impromptu lunch at Tutto Gusto. Very good.
Dinner at California Grill with my man. Cheese plate (5 cheeses) delicious. Fig & pumpkin ravioli so rich it could have been dessert. Chocolate molten cake with peppermint ice cream for dessert. Stuffed ourselves silly. Watched castle lighting and Wishes from our table by the window.

Low points:
Touring plans thrown out the window. Way too ambitious for our group. Frustrated, but resigned.
Whiny, unappreciative kids. They will not come back until they are teens.

Soo happy that soo many of us will be there at the same time..thought I would be all alone .... :rotfl2:

Oh, you won't be alone, there's a lot of us going NEXT WEEK, but I totally see how you could have thought that given how absolutely dead this roll call has been for the past several months :roltf:

Excited for the warmer weather, but bummed it will turn to 60's for highs our second part of the trip. Which sucks packing wise, and it's proving difficult to pack this year for this trip. It was 70 here today and tomorrow will be 58 and 47 the day we leave. Only up side, the warm weather awaits in Florida.

Yep totally dead. Lol

Two weeks from right now we will be in the car headed to Bangor, ME to catch our early Xmas morning flight to The House of Mouse!!!!

Well Thursday is the big day!! So excited to just get on the plane and be in Disney!! I'm not sure if I should bring shorts, the weather saying low to high 70s. I'm so excited I got chef Mickey for breakfast and couple other ADR I wanted to straighten out, I must of got very luck to get the adrs! So happy
Hope everyone has a safe and fun vacation

Your kids will love CM- they are a perfect age. My sons still talk about that meal after five years. Have fun!

Two weeks from now, my kids will be waking up and opening gifts from Santa. We will then be getting ready to go to RD at DHS- Toy Story Mania here we come. :lovestruc :santa:

I can't wait to tell them...we have kept it a secret for 18 months, and we are telling them after school on 12-21-12, then we are immediately hopping in the car and starting the drive :cool1:

With all the changes to Fantasy Land, which rides/attractions in that area should we hit first?? We will be arriving an hour after everyone (not staying onsite) so will get there about 8am. Spending three days at MK but planned to do Fantasyland on one day (but considering taking DD back while sons ride SM or something else).

TIA:)

If you want to do Enchanted Tales, definitely head there first! Then I would head to LM and the Grotto. If PP is on your list you can grab a FP first before heading into New FL.

Do you know if the LM ride is exactly the same as the one in DL?

Good morning everyone! I hope all those traveling are having a great time :-)

I'd be really bummed about being back already if I wasn't so busy! Work is crazy this week and we still need to decorate inside our house, bake cookies & finish off our shopping. It's just as well though, as I can feel the PDD creeping around the edges of my consciousness ;)

Have a good day!

I have a 2:00 pm ADR at Le Cellier for a party of 3 on 12/27 that I need to cancel. Anyone want it? I posted on the ADR cancel thread but no one PMed me.

Haha me too... I'm starting to plan our next trips... We don't even know when we are getting a tree though! My DH really screwed with our plans prior to vacation... I wish the tree farm was open during the week or that my DH had a Friday off instead of Thursday....

Also- we are not doing as much holiday baking this year. We are opting for getting his peers and supervisor Starbucks gift sets and I'm baking cupcakes for a staff meeting.... I'm thinking even though its late we are going to decorate and get the tree the weekend before Xmas...

My priority this week Xmas cards & photo books!

Sure would be nice to have the place to ourselves huh? :)

DD still isn't feeling the greatest. :( If no improvement today, I am going to take her to the dr. I am just hoping she doesn't pass it onto her sisters!
I am feeling overwhelmed with all that I still have left to do (packing, shirts, cleaning). ...... On the bright side, dh had his 4th interview for a job and he got the job yesterday! :cool1:Now to just negotiate the pay with HR and we'll be ready to rock n roll! :) It is so nice to not have to worry about whether or not he'll have a job when we get back from vacation.

We were all sick on vacation.... It didn't slow us down too much. I was medicating myself with Advil cold & sinus and my kids did much better with honey chestal (which I read from someone on here) I will also add the humidity in fl helped us since we are far north and the dryness from heating and winter.... Here's to hoping she gets better and doesn't pass it along!!

Oh and congratulations to DH on the job!

Great news! Yay for DH!!

Morning all. We are officially home ( got home Sunday morning at 7am). I'm going to try (big emphasis on try) to read the last almost 100 pages, lol. I'm hoping to start a trip report this week with some of the pictures I have and when our photopass comes in I'll add more. It was a great trip and we really enjoyed it but we were glad to come home to our boys. We'll that's me popping in and saying hi. Hopefully I'll get some time this afternoon for more of an update.
