5 Days until we leave!

3.75 more days of work. For some reason the mornings always go by quickly but the afternoons are long..

The cleaning lady comes tomorrow so I need to straighten up the piles of stuff I have set aside to be packed and move them out of her way. Plus put away the laundry from the other night.

Well, personally I think you should go to Epcot, but that's just because sissy and I will be there on the 22nd Doing AK during the day and then hitting MK for the late hours sounds like a solid plan, and if you get there REALLY late (after any parades, etc.) I don't think you'll have too much of a problem crowd level wise. Sissy and I may even hop over there after the Hoop de Doo Musical Review to get in a couple more rides before heading home the next morning.

14 days til we leave.....sounds better than saying 2 weeks! kids started to grab out some of the clothes they will bring and too cold to wear here...DD went looking for her capris and shorts and made a huge mess...forgot to tell her that I had already put some in the suitcase weeks ago.....oh well, we now know what she has and what she has outgrown!....I am amazed at how excited they are for this trip-way more than the last trip 2 yrs ago!....now to make it through this week and next week I will be ontop of all the packing lists......this is one of the craziest weeks we have this month......

Just walked past the German holiday shop. It's pretty big. Do you have a German pickle ornament? Those are popular.

Thanks for the tip! The pickle would be a very memorable ornament. I think Germans "invented" the Christmas tree, so I bet the place is full of interesting ornaments.

I think I'll end up buying several- if anyone else sees something unique please post!

Today I'm going to re-make the Yachtsman ressies I canceled- we were going to go by DHS after AK one evening in order to see the lights, but since we got FP+ we're going there later on our arrival day. So we'll have a great date night and give the kids a chance to roam around on their own.

Only about 6.5 days left of work! I still need to make a list of what table service meals we'll be paying for OOP, but I think everything else is done. Yay!

Five days to go...and all I want to do is go to bed!!! I haven't been feeling great for the past couple of days and I woke up at 3am feeling hot and then freezing...headache, stuffy, etc. The kids went off to school and I SLEPT!!!! I just woke up and realized I slept all this free time away!!! But, I feel so exhausted, I can't get anything done anyways. I am so mad...I have SOOOOOOOOOO much to do! I have a drs appt at 4pm. I hope she has a magic wand and makes whatever is going on, go away! Really?? Now??

Went to the Wishes Dessert Party last night!

I met two DISers yesterday! Stacey who is mostly on the Facebook page and someone from this thread whose name I can't remember. sorry! She was very sweet. She is from Hawaii (If someone can help me out with her name I would appreciate it).

So glad you enjoyed the dessert party!! I know others have said it, but it was Taaren. Stacey is the one on fb whose husband worked at Hostess.

My husband thinks I should forgo shirts for the Christmas party, but I think I should do at least the kids! I bought the shirts already. He left work super early, which wasn't planned, and of course he wants to get on the road! We're not even going all the way to Disney yet. The man is going to give me a heart attack since I have so much to do yet!

Well, there are a few places in MK for ARDs - as soon as the Disney website comes back up, you can search for ADRs - just log in to your account and "make dining reservations" this close you may need to make resort ADRs - idk you'll just have to see whats left.

Sometimes it takes awhile for a table, sometimes it doesnt, but ADRs are your best shot, because close to Christmas there are very few - if any - walk ups accepted.

I've been joking with DBF that it's okay for the world to end on Dec 21 since our last day in Disney is Dec 20 It just better not end while I'm in flight to Pittsburgh on Dec 21 Pretty sure I saw a movie about that.
