PART FIVE!! *December 2012 Roll Call* Holidays, FLE & MVMCP!! A very, merry thread!

First of all, let me apologize for all the quotes. Stupid work is making me WORK, if you can believe it. That's why I haven't been able to reply as I go.

I'm planning on wearing my pedometer a day or 2 down there too.

I suggest, for a #4 or #5 post, we keep score of how many and which Dec DIS-ers we ran into during our trips. Make it like a gentleman's bet. Just the sheer competitive nature of us, will make us seek each other out to brag about the biggest number. :teacher:

What is it about us Boston guys that compells us to propose at WDW? Congrats. :bride: :groom:

I actually got an email from Disney dining this morning. Saying that if I wanted to cancel, I needed to do it 2 days prior, or pay a surcharge. I like the fact that they sent me the reminder.

Well... 48 hrs from right now, I will be somewhere in Logan Airport (maybe the food court, maybe the bar). Also, my buddy who was going to be down there around the same time as us, has changed his plans. Now he is there THE SAME time that we are. Not only that, but he is now staying at POR as well. Can't wait to see him.

Ok... I'm done hijacking the thread. I now return you to your scheduled postings, already in progress.

You aren't hijacking a thread that you are conversant in as well! If you came in with a complete non-sequitur that would be a hijack!

I've been being forced to work too today, and I need an adult beverage.:drinking:

I'll probably wear my pedometer every day. But then I'm trying to win a competition here at work.

I like your idea of seeing how many DISers we can meet!! That would be awesome!

Hmm.. DBF isn't from Boston but he did go to school there and lived there for a year after.. Boston was our first real long weekend away trip. :scratchin Maybe there is hope yet! (not holding my breath or I'll look like this:faint:

I was just looking to see if I could move an ADR no big deal, it's not like it can't wait.

Have a safe trip and I'm happy to hear that your friend will be there at the same time!!

ADR site is still down..:confused3 Been that way since last night. Anyone know how lone it is usually down for?? Thanks:)

D'oh! :headache: My mom just told me that she has to take her Byetta at breakfast and dinner (I thought was just in the morning). It has to be refrigerated. I know first aid will hold it for us, and that's probably what we'll do. Anyone have any experience with those frio packs? Other folks on the forums seem to love them, but it makes me nervous for some reason. I think I'd have preferred to try one out before the trip, and I'm not even sure I have time to get one at this point!
I read your thread over on the disabilities forum, and I think that your mom might be overly worried about this. I have refrigerated meds, too ($125 bucks a pop, so I'm careful with them!), and what I do is put them in an insulated softsided lunch bag with one of those refreezable ice packs. It's really easy. The reason why injectable meds are supposed to be refrigerated is that they have no preservatives, so if you take reasonable steps to keep them cool, it should be fine.:) Leaving them with first aid sounds like a major and unnecessary hassle to me.

Here is a brief itinerary---Kathy, Jordan and anyone else who will be there then. I would love to say Hi if it works out. It will freak DH out, so it may be quick.

12/15 DTD/AK
12/16 DHS/Epcot/DHS
12/17 AK/MK EMH
12/18 resort/MVMCP
12/19 DHS/Epcot
12/20 Epcot
12/21 DHS/MK/Epcot i know it's ridiculous, but it is the last day!

I have no mornings in MK. :sad1: I may try to go there on 12/16 at rope drop instead of DHS and then go to DHS later for EMH.

Hi all!!!! I'm sitting at my gate at MCO to return home. Anyone have any questions about things before they leave for their vacation??

We use a frio bag for our daughter's insulin and I can tell you from personal experience that it works really well!!! All you need is cold water or water and ice and you just soak it for a few minutes every couple of days. It's really great. I do see that you are leaving in 6 days so I'm not sure if you could get one that fast. Could you maybe have it sent to the resort you are staying at???

DH is on his way home from work! I got all our errands done, now all he needs to do is pack and we leave in the morning!

15 hours till we leave for the airport! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: (Can you tell I'm getting excited? :lmao: )

Excited for you, especially since I'm about 40 minutes from my flight home, so I know what fun you're heading to :)

Thanks guys. You're probably right that we're being overly cautious, LOL! I was just at CVS and they actually had the frio packs! So I got one, and I'll give my mom the option of that or first aid, or a combo of the two, whatever makes her happy. It's worth a walk if it gives her peace of mind, ya know?

The byetta isn't supposed to get wet though - would the pack still work if we put the pen in a plastic bag (open at the top) and then into the pack? I know they sell them with liners, but CVS didn't have them.

OMG. I might cry now. I think I am looking forward to this parade almost more than anything else!!!

Yay! Our PP+ arrived in the mail today!
We have a TH ADR first thing on our first day. Will I be able to pick up our card on the way to breakfast (8:20 ADR, 9am park opening) or will we need to stop by DTD on the way from the airport?

Mine must have arrived a day or two ago. Dh found the envelope sitting on his computer desk. Gee. I wonder who put it THERE? I wonder who got the mail and forgot to tell his wife that an awesome white envelope with a BIG GREEN panel at the bottom that says FAST PASS + on it arrived?

That was a rhetorical question........

So, good news is WE HAVE FAST PASSES! Yippeeeeeeeeee! :cheer2:

It seems like I have an awful lot of plastic cards to keep track of. We'll get KTTW when we get there.....I have La Nouba tickets, FP+ tickets, Photopass + card, MVMCP cards........not to mention a ton of Disney GC from Target! Does anyone else think there's a lot of plastic to keep track of?
