PART FIVE!! *December 2012 Roll Call* Holidays, FLE & MVMCP!! A very, merry thread!

We normally eat at Backlot Express, but its just burgers & etc. DHS is our least favourite park to eat in...
That seems to be the general feeling about DHS- certainly we aren't thrilled by the offerings, either. Anyway, it seems like a great opportunity for Disney to add something new (or improved)- I think it would be greatly appreciated!

Hopefully when they rip out the Backlot Tour & Lights, Motor Action, they will make room for some good dining options!

Feeling beyond unprepared for our trip...:confused3 The last time we were at Disney was 15yrs ago??? :lmao: We stayed at an onsite resort. This time we are staying offsite. Just read a comment about MK and how if you drive there..you have to take a shuttle to ticket center and then a bus/ferry to the park?? We are leaving in a little over a week..and I just discovered this today. Hopefully things go smoother once we are there... :rotfl2:

Oh, yeah, I forgot about the cappuccino cupcake! It'll be our first evening in WDW so I don't think anyone will care too much about what we eat, but I do know we'll be pretty hungry by the time we get there so I need a plan. :) Hungry teenagers are scary.

The gingerbread cupcake was incredible!!! I didn't try to Cappuccino one, but it looked very yummy!

You take the tram from where you park to the TTC (Ticket & Transportation Center), unless you are lucky enough to park very close then you can just walk to the TTC. Then you can take either the ferry or monorail over to the park gates to get into MK. :thumbsup2

That's not quite how it works. When you park at MK, you are really parking at the Transportation and Ticket Centre (TTC). Because the parking lot is so big, you usually have to take a tram to the actual TTC. They are running constantly and there is almost never a wait. Its a short ride to the TTC. There you can either take a Ferry or the Monorail over to MK or a monorail to Epcot. If we park at TTC and its our first day, we always like to take to Ferry b/c of the view of the castle as you approach.

Don't let it stress you out - its a really easy and seamless process.

Something that never ceases to amaze me is that the parking lot for MK is bigger than MK itself.

BTW, did you happen to see any great Christmas ornaments for sale? I'm on a quest.

Manhattan would fit in MK's parking lot!!!!

Sorry, but no. I didn't actually do any shopping for Christmas ornaments this trip.

Hi ladies & gents! I need to catch up, but we have been having so much fun I'm completely behind! My oldest got sick last night do we were up cleaning up last night. I was happy today was Hollywood Studios and we could get a late start & finish at a decent hour!

To make up for it I had a Butterfinger cupcake for breakfast! We had two pixie dust moments today too! The cast member at Starring Roles gave my son a cookie for free when I bought my breakfast cupcake. Then we had lunch at Pizza Planet and when we got our lunch order the cast member who rang us up got everyone to sing happy birthday to me! It was fun. Then when we got our food they gave me a free souvenir cup! Little gestures that meant a lot! My two year old is really happy mum has her birthday at Disney! ;)

We were there as well but didn't get there until right at 5:00 and by that time the line stretched clear back to Terre Haute (intentional Christmas Story reference). We waited for about 2 hrs & 45 minutes to get our pins. Luckily we didn't have plans for the night as it was our MK day for the FLE opening and MVMCP was that night. We got 5 pins: 2 of the 'I was there' pins, an Enchanted tales with Belle, a Little Mermaid and a Be Our Guest. LONG wait but worth it. We'll have those pins forever!

Sounds like you were close to me somewhere in line. I was wearing the Stitch hat and my BF had on a Dale hat and a kilt.

DUDE!!! I totally remember seeing you guys because we were in line behind you at Enchanted Tales of Belle earlier that day and thought to myself 'They must be burning up in those hats' and then I remember seeing you at the pin event and saying 'Hey, it's them'. LOL Too funny!!!!!!

On our way!!!!!!! Picked up at 3:30...at the airport...and waiting for Starbucks to open!!!!!

Oh boy, woke up a half hour late. I sent the alarm for PM rather than AM. No huge sweat, as we are only driving up.

Time to head from South to Central to WDW!!!!

More soon!!

Squeeee!!!! Yay!!!! :cheer2:

I just got that email. It's almost a universal reduction in crowd predictions for every day I'm going to be there! I'm surprised by how much AK dropped though. Seems odd.

Sometimes they make mistakes and enter the data wrong. So I keep waiting for a correction but nothing. I tweeted them to ask about it but no answer yet.

That's funny!

And the hats aren't too bad, I only got hot a couple times. It may end up being a totally different story when we come back in June though! LOL

Honestly, I love the characters as much as my girls do. Poor hubby is good about indulging us...although he seemed to enjoy seeing Jasmine last year! :rotfl2:

My DH says he's not much into characters but he never suggested we get out of the hour-long line to see Piglet at MNSSHP last year. And none of the rest of us are Pooh fans. ;)

Pochohontas is also a favorite. ;-)
