Recap:
Me, DH, DD 8, DS 6. We stayed at Wilderness Lodge Villas from 12/19-12/22.

I will use my standard rating system:

10- everything perfect...food, service, atmosphere (very rare)
9- excellent, almost perfect
7-8- very good, overall great experience
5-6- mediocre, might not return
3-4- bad, not returning
1-2- should close this place down!!!

Sunday, 12/22 (our last day:( )

Last night I decided to do laundry before I packed up the suitcases. I like to have it all done before we get home...less work that way later. I was thinking with multiple washers it would take me like an hour, but it was more like two. I finished sometime after midnight...DH and the kids were asleep. Although I was tired, I was glad to have some peace to myself, and while the clothes were drying I read a magazine in the Villas lobby. I was SO RELAXED sitting in the rocking chair with the beautifully carved arms and leather seat, listening to the western music and watching the fire and the lights on the christmas tree...ahhhh. It's unfortunate that sometimes we are always on the go, rushing off to the parks and such. I think I would need a month at WL just to really enjoy all it has to offer...

We checked out around 9:30 am, loaded up our car and had the valet re-park the car for later. We took the boat to MK, stopped at Plaza Restaurant to make a PS, and went on a few rides.

Lunch, Plaza Restaurant:

We were seated immediately after checking in for our PS of 12:30pm. I was glad we had made the PS in the am because there was a long line of people waiting. I had the club sandwich which has turkey and ham on whole grain bread with of course bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on the side. It also comes with delicious German potato salad. DH had the tuna sandwich and ordered fries with it instead of potato salad. DD had chicken soup and DS had grilled cheese and fries. Everything was very very good. We tried this place for the first time this past July and I think we've made a tradition of eating here on our last day!! Too full for ice cream, but we let the kids purchase some candy on Main Street to bring back to CT with them.

Overall rating: 8, very good...will come back probably every trip!!!

Though we were sad to leave, we thought our timing was good, as the crowds were remarkably more than the rest of our stay. We thought we were clever doing fast pass for Space Mountain, however, when we arrived for our ticket time the fast pass line wait looked at least an hour!!!

BTW, on Christmas moring while baking cookies to bring to my mothers house, I watched the parade at MK. I was sitting there at my kitchen table bawling my eyes out, wishing I was still there...pretty pathetic, huh? I should feel lucky that I got to go down there at all...I guess I'm getting spoiled!!! It was just so weird seeing MK just three days later with all the decor and everything that I JUST saw!!!

Anyway, we'll be back in July, unless DH plans a spontaneous trip maybe in May...

Any questions, let me know...

I enjoyed reading all of your reviews. I didn't know you could make PS at the Plaza Restaurant at MK. It's a nice place for lunch!

I too saw the parade on Christmas and cried because I wasn't there. We went in May of 2002. Hope to go back soon!

Thanks for the wonderful reviews!

I did the SAME thing Christmas morning. I baked cookies and watched the Disney Christmas special! I wished I was there, too. But, it was our first White Christmas in over 20 years so it made it easier to be home. :)

That is SO funny!!!

I think that Christmas special had some of the best shots of disney world and highlights of it's attractions. We save all the Disney stuff from travel channel (we especially like Samantha Brown from Great Hotels...). We record to our TIVO and then put them on tapes and watch them in our minivan!!! Are we geeks or what?

Anyway, the only down side to the show is that it was very obvious that Regis and Kelly's every word was scripted. Let's face it it was a two-hour Disney commercial. But as Disney fans we loved it anyway!!!
