Part 2 to my issues on my trip (good)

I had posted a while back about our trip to FW back in the end of May/Beginning June. There were some issues with our site, blah blah blah. Talking to the front desk didn't really do much other than say we could move (which if you camp, you know is a really difficult thing to up and move your site). Anyway, on the main Disney site, I clicked "contact us" and explained what happened in a friendly email. I even put that this probably wouldn't influence if and when we come back as the kids love it, I love it and we go at least once a year anyway, but thought they should know. I didn't hear a thing back for a few weeks until the other day when I received a phone call from the executive offices telling me that they were refunding 25% of our site costs to us and apologizing for the inconvenience. I was floored! :rotfl2: I didn't even ask for anything and would have been happy with a note back apologizing for the situation. So, Disney came through in the end to restore my faith and magic. :) Just thought that since I complained, that I should also tell you all how great they are.

That is great! I remeber reading about your trip and though I have never had that problem I would have been upset too! It is difficult to pack up everything and move. So i'ts good new! I was reading another thread and there was a camper that complained about the noise that maintenane was making and they recevied a call back form CM saying they would be moving shortly. So maybe you reporting your situation helped other too.
 
Yeah for you :cool1: That's great news - I remember thinking when I read your earlier post that there was no way you could move once you are set up (unless something really bad happened like raw sewage spilling onto your site :rotfl: ) I am glad that even though while there you couldn't get anything done the higher ups realized how disturbing to your vacation this situation was and made some magic for you

I remember reading about your trip. I'm glad to hear that your concerns were addressed and handled in such a positive manner. Good for you!:thumbsup2
 
We had a very bad experience a few trips ago (about 1 year ago) and it even caused us to leave early from our vacation. We ended up stewing about it for a few days and decided to write to Disney to let them know what happened. A few weeks later we got a call from a Disney executive that wanted to talk about the situation and tell us about some new procedures that were being put in place. We were given a special number to call before our next trip and they would help make our trip more enjoyable next time. They came through for us even though we had wanted nothing but to let them know about a few things that they needed to consider changing. We have noticed on our recent trips that a few things have changed. It is nice to know that Disney does still care.
