Did you/will you catch Jimmy Buffet in concert this year?

I saw him at the Tweeter this past Tues night and had a great time! Only my 2nd J.B. concert for me! And it did not rain! The weather was awesome.

Fins up!

I like Jimmy Buffet also. His songs are awesome. I have not been to one of his concerts though. I bet they are fun.

Heading to Pittsburgh on September 2nd for my first Jimmy Buffet concert EVER! Yeah! :bounce: See counter below!

I love him but have never been to a concert.

Me either....Would love to make the Pittsburg show, actually...Have to think about that one :)

Fins to the left

I wish he would come close enough for me to attend!!

His concerts look like a blast!

If he comes near here, I will be there. Have my daughter into him now.

I've seen him about 6-7 times, and would have gone this year, but he decided to do Fenway Park instead of the Tweeter Center; I couldn't get tickets, and the "legal" scalpers want anywhere from $250 to over $1000.00 per seat.

The tickets here in MA always go fast, but It's gotten so hard to get tickets now, it's impossible.

I paid $85 to an agent. I was lucky! He sold out and I couldn't get tickets, but then I posted a want ad on Craigslist.com and got my tickets through the agent that answered my ad.

His shows are like a big party, I love how people dress with the grass skirts and lei's, etc.

You have to see at least one JB concert in your lifetime! It is a riot! I have seen a few and I am waiting for him to add Detroit on the tour. Most of his concerts are held in outdoor pavillions. The parking lots are fun to walk around because so many tailgaters are having parties and most are already drunk! His shows are awesome.

Why don't we get drunk and....

Another Parrothead checking in here. Went to my first JB concert back in May and it was a blast! Had to get tickets off Ebay, though, because they were all sold out fast.

Will be going back again for sure, great fun.

Heather :wave2:

Another one here, but I have never been able to go to one of his concerts. :( I listen to him a lot cause I'm so homesick and his songs remind me of Florida.

I have never been to a Jimmy Buffet concert but absolutley love his music! It's mellow, relaxed, and i feel like i could be on vacation forever. I have a live cd of his from a FL concert a couple years ago. Love Margarittaville too. I'm a parrothead.

Me! Me! I love Jimmy. I saw him in concert for the first time in the 80's at Jones Beach in NY. I have been a parrothead since I was about 10. I have been to one concert a year for the past 3 years. We always tailgate and have a blast. I even have parrothead license plates. Yup, VA DMV has issued parrothead plates. Strange but true.

I doubt it. Stop throwing things at me!!! I haven't ever seen him in concert. My sister always goes. My cousins all go & that's a ton of people right there. I don't have an urge to go, but if the opportunity arose, I would go. I'd like to see what it's all about.

I was at the Camden show on Tuesday. The show was great but the crowds were the worst I have ever seen. I think the word has spread about the 'party', and even those without tickets are just parking to party. The crowd out on the lawn was pretty bad, we had a fight behind us that took about 20 security guys and cops to subdue, and it all started over some druck girl dropping her drawers and peeing right there on the lawn! It was definitely not a 'parrothead' crowd.
3 members of our group stayed in the parking lot to clean up and pack up the cars, and it was a good thing they did, because there were roving bands of kids- college age, not teens or little ones- roaming the parking lot, breaking into and vandalizing cars, putting broken bottles under tires, smashing windows, really messing it up. There were at least 3 arrests that we saw of people selling Nitrous Oxide in balloons! We never saw any of that before and we have been going for almost 10 years.
I am afraid that the bad behavior of a few is going to ruin it for everyone. I can see Camden and the Tweeter Center banning tailgating entirely because of what went on.

Wow Beth I had no idea things got that bad!

I was at the very front of the lawn at the rail- a good spot. I got in line super early to get that spot once the gates opened. So I did not see much of went on since the whole hill was in back of me and I was not looking that way.

I did see a man get taken away in a stretcher. Don't know what happened.

After the show we hopped right on the NJ light rail train so we did not see what the parking lot was going through.
