Parley....Will That Get Me On The Ship Any Faster part 2

thats kind of how we felt about MNSSHP..we really like it, but have done it 4 times (and last time Disney got cheap on the candy:rotfl:) so we figured we'd skip it this time.

Stay till midnight and they shovel handfuls into your treat bag.

:woohoo: It's cruise preparation day at our house!!! The suitcases are out and ready to pack. The toiletries is nearly packed. Finished shirts this morning.:banana:

I think Gary would be ideal - you could get him to recreate this pose from Castaway Cay two years ago :rotfl2:

pretty easy for me Sweet Polly... 7 nites = 7 Underdog shirts, 7 pairs of Underdog Underoos.

Looks like we have another two volunteers for the "Men of Parley' cruise calendar that is listed in the first post of the thread! :thumbsup2

They write you a ticket. There is a set fine for a certain amount over you go, then it is raised accordingly. If you want to dispute it you can go to court but more than likely you won't win. If you don't you pay the fine (Sean's speeding ticket was $300 for going 20 mph over) and/or in some cases you have to go to traffic school (another fee) Everything is computerized so the courts put the points on the DMV(dept of motor vehicles) and DMV can also notify your insurance. If you are driving without a license in your posession you get a fine, if you don't have one and your driving you go to jail, but if you are driving with a suspended license your car is towed and you can be arrested; which will cost you more fines and impound fees.

Around here (NJ) they don't have set fine fees - you have to go to court where a judge sets your fine. And depending on the mood he/she is in, it can be significant.

i'll have mine packed for the ladies pillowfighting competition.:3dglasses:3dglasses

And what would that be? :headache:

hey!!! a FO...whatever that is...:rolleyes1:upsidedow

Bad Dawg!
:headache:
I LOVE that movie!:happytv::rotfl2:

One of my all time favorites! :happytv:

I think we have to provide our names and reservation numbers to DCL to have them "linked" and then give them the details for our request.

Once linked, you can't make any Palo, spa, or excursion reservations, so everyone needs to be done with those (we are).

After you're linked you can still make reservations, it just that only 1 person can at a time. You can't have 2 people logged in and making changes at the same time.

:cool1::cool1:

"Igor, Get the bags!" :lmao:

"You take the blonde. I'll take the one in the turban." :happytv:

We are up for sitting with you guys if you are. I just called to try to change the dining time today, but no go. We have been on the waiting list for months, so I am expecting to make the change on board, if they have any space. Where are you guys staying prior to the cruise?

Wish we had time to go to WDW prior to the cruise. I know our little peanut would LOVE the MNSSHP!

Since we have a 4 month old and a 4 year old, and..well....at least my wife is 30-something...I'm a little more elder... We'd would love to sit with anyone who is in a similar boat. :grouphug:

Anyone know the max people they can get at a table together?

Currently we don't have our room# or seating assignment, but expect both soon....and plan on switching to the early sitting if needed... so if anyone is interested, we're game.

Just for the record:
From our experience over the past 3 years, the kids are too tired to eat at 8:00 are grumpy, etc. Eating at a normal time then going to the show is like eating dinner at home and letting them fall asleep on the couch while you watch tv/read/whatever. It feels more natural.
We also plan on trying to work it so the 4 month old is in Flounder's while we eat...wish us luck there!

So, general question... does anyone know what are our chances of changing the dinner time to main seating on board? I can't believe one day in booking would mean a difference in early vs late dining :headache:

All our reservations are made. If you want to go ahead with this we are game. Just pm me and I can provide our info.

How do I get our names added to the list of people from this great board going on the cruise. Tried the pm but couldn't get it to work.
Just the two of us. Me - Pat aka Achray, and Dh Bill. This is our 2nd cruise and we are from Ontario, Canada.

Some folks like to call their travel agents or DCL if they booked directly through them and get on a 'waiting list' for the early seating.

Here is what we always do when we get a late seating....
When you get onboard, they will have a time where you can go into a designated place, usually one of the bars, where you can make Palo reservations, change your dinner seating and book Spa time.

The website might say that things are booked up, but it is never really the case. We have never been on a waitlist and have always been able to get to the place to make changes early enough to swap out our dinner seating, make a Palo reservation or two and book some spa time for the mrs.

Hope that helps.

I've started packing but still have a way to go yet. I have 3 more shifts and then I have 4 nights off so my goal is to be totally packed by then.

We will be there that night:cool1:, are you going then too?

We are going to the mnsshp on October 20. So far there are 2 others. Maybe we can meet up. It is always more fun when you know someone.:thumbsup2

No he can still drive Becky. The licence is surrendered so that the points can be added to it. You can have upto 9 points before you can't drive any more for a set period.

you can get upto 11 points. it's 12points and you get a bicycle. ;)

We may be there. We have never been and are talking about taking an extra vacation day and heading over. Still undecided... worry is the crowds - does anyone know how crazy it is for MNSSHP? We don't really need to do the rides but we would be there for the Halloween events/candy if that changes the crowd perspective...

Melissa, the times that we have been the crowds have been very manageable. The longest lines tend to be for the rarer characters that are only out for special events, such as the Dwarves, White Rabbit, Queen of Hearts etc. We have always found it easy to find a place to watch the parade (althoguh the second parade tends to be less busy). The lines for candy tend to move pretty quickly.
