Parley....Will That Get Me On The Ship Any Faster part 2

Sad i missed it... Had to take the 4 year old to a birthday party.

I"m thinkin I might join the group at the park early Saturday morning... Watching the ships roll in is one of my favorite things! Otis had it right...
"Sittin' in the mornin' sun
I'll be sittin' (cruisin') when the evenin' come
Watchin' the ships roll in
Then i'll watch 'em roll away again ..."

We have early seating. As of now. It will be my DH Jeff Our daughter Kaitlynn (4) and I.

Woohoo :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Jeez, if you want anything done right (or at all), you gotta do it yourself:

  • For the sake of the entire universe itself, DO NOT MISS the ultimate, unrivaled, new and improved, better than ever (even though it's never been seen before), and possibly orgasmic, er... um, I mean totally organic (family-friendly right?) "Stargazing meet of the Millenium!" @ 8pm on Wednesday, Oct. 26 (location TBD).

It is guaranteed not to disappoint!***

I'd love to join if the girls aren't too sleepy. Maybe your Maddie can meet my Maddy :)

A small announcement:

For those of you that don't know, Palo has a private room that holds 12 (minimum) - 14 (maximum). It can be booked for brunch at 10:30 AM on sea days, if DCL isn't using it and there is only one seating. The room is at the far end of the restaurant; one side is all windows and the other is a beautiful mosaic mural.

I had asked several months ago if anyone wanted to join my family and I took the 1st eight Parleyers that responded and added them to the request. We just got word yesterday that our request for 10/24 was confirmed, so I asked if the other 2 sea days had been booked yet. As of yesterday, the private room was still available for brunch on Sunday, 10/23 and Thursday, 10/27.

If anyone else (as in, not me ;)) wants to coordinate/organize another booking with your fellow Parleyers, send me a PM and I will send you the contact information. You will have to a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 14 people to book the room. You will need the names and reservation numbers for everyone included. Very important: If you already have a brunch reservation at Palo, it will be CANCELED if the private room booking is accepted. Another reminder - you must be 18 to dine in Palo.

Oh... I'd love to join the brunch if anyone is coordinating it. I am just too busy with work to do it myself. It would just be DH and I.

poor Cass was on the phone for us for hrs when they announced the first Hawaii cruise earlier this year..But then we decided that was too many sea days and not enough Hawaii days for our first trip there...we'll get there someday...(if we can ever stay away from WDW or DCL that long):wizard:

I agree that the Hawaii cruise does not have enough days on the islands. There is too much to do there to spend only a few hours on each island.

I just noticed we aren't in the cast of characters yet.... can we be added?
I tried to PM the parley acct, but for whatever reason that option isn't available.
Fred and DW Shannon, DD Ansley (4 months) and DD Arden (4 years) - North Carolina

Thanks!

Welcome, our girls are about the same age. Mine are 12 months and almost 4 years.

We have late seating. It will be my DH Jeff Our daughter Kaitlynn (4) and I.

Are you planning to keep the late seating? I was thinking about changing ours since I was not sure how the girls would do. I see that we are from the same time zone.

Well, if anyone doesn't mind dining with two young kids and two 30-something adults, we would love to have you join us.

Are we not having an 'all aboard' meet before the lifeboat drill :confused3 I know a lot of the Parleyers already know each other but I would like to know who I am looking out for (or trying to avoid ;))

Coud I be so bold as to suggest we have a meet in the Promenade Lounge before the drill - say 3ish?

That'd work for us.

Wow...can't wait. Just got to remember to pack those binoculars.

Well more than likely we won't be going either LONDON is calling! I'm hoping this will be a popular cruise and they'll start doing more of them. If not we'll try and stay at Aulani someday.

Don't know about calling.....it's demanding your company!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Wow, this thread is really picking up - you can tell we're getting close

We had a bit of a nightmare yesterday as DH got pulled over for speeding :guilty: meaning he had to surrender his licence to be sent off to DVLA to be endorsed. We now have to hope and pray that he gets it back in time for the holiday (as he will need it to show the rental car company) :sad2: Keep your fingers crossed for us.

Ouch! How fast was he going to have to surrender his license? Pixie Dust pixiedust: that everything will be expedited smoothly.

It is common practice here for you to surrender your licence, either at the time that you are stopped or within 7 days to the local Police Station. He was doing 45 in a 30 zone so was lucky to get a £60 fine and 3 penalty points. He is going to phone as soon as the Process Office opens tomorrow to pay the fine and ask them to return his licence as soon as possible so hopefully we will be OK. I won't e able to relax fully until we have it back though - I do NOT relish the thought of having to drive an automatic 7-seater minivan on the wrong side of the road (that is DH's forte).

Ok my cop is very interested to know does he get to drive in the mean time? Here they dont take the licenses (although he is loving the idea) and driving without a license is a fineable offense. If the license is suspended then you can be arrested.

:woohoo: It's cruise preparation day at our house!!! The suitcases are out and ready to pack. The toiletries is nearly packed. Finished shirts this morning.:banana:

Now I have to decide what I'm wearing...

OMG!!!

I told Mike we need to get the clothes out that we want to pack...5 minutes later, he comes out of the bedroom and says,

"Ok, my clothes are ready." Are you kidding me!!!

Guys have it so easy!!!:headache:

We had late last year and had to change this year. It is too late for young kids. Our daughter was always to tired to eat and was kranky and did not want to sit still. They say they will come to take the kids but we like to eat with our daughter. With the late seating they have to take the kids because the kids are too tired to stay seated any longer. I would get your family moved to early seating if you can. If you do let me know. I called my TA yesterday and she somehow got our reservation changed to early seating. So now we are early seating.

But you're from the UK...you already drive on the wrong side of the road! :drive: :scared1:
