Transportation was also a major issue in EPCOT, as illustrated above by the placing of both monorails and people movers into the city. Although a large highway was built into the plan of EPCOT, it was never intended to have the purpose of primary transportation. If anything, the highway was intended as an artery by which the realities of the outside world were pumped into EPCOT.The singular multilane highway ran straight through the heart of the city from edge to edge, but was streamlined for distribution of any traffic into the levels below with one lane for delivery trucks and another for passneger cars

Higgs22: I have seen the part about the tunnels in the original concept of Epcot, but that is not what I was looking for...those trucks had to get to the tunnels somehow....

Main road to elevators that lower them to the lower truck level. Under the monorail to provide an early cloaking device.

Has Jwill been studying the same map as I? I rushed home from work, and here's what I found...
"Truck route always under the monorail."
And a separate "Truck & Industrial Entrance" that is situated to the right side of the Guest Entrance to the property, and then the route travels straight throught Epcot (under the monorail I assume?) and feeds into the convention facility area, and to the hotels area. Or maybe I'm reading the lines wrong and it skirts Epcot, loops through the camp/motorhome sites, winds through the convention facility area, loops around the park hotels area, and comes back south? I'm not too sure.

I will guess red or yellow for Mickey's car. I can't remember. In the cartoons it is always red. I do know that the doesn't have Craftsman tools in his garage. They all say Craftsmouse.

Oh yeah, I can see it now..............Why no officer, what do you mean? The serving wench in the red stilleto heels said I could have a triple whiparita sprinkled with pixie dust and fly home. I didn't know it was illegal to fly in my car. I just had one or two happy thoughts, well, okay maybe three. I might have lost count.

at the special pin events Disney has there is a group of us that wear actual feather boas and the guys wear their Speedos (not really they just threaten to. They HAVE been known to wear the boas though)
