Well based on Madonna's last clue I'll say 8 batteries.
Also, fun fact, did you know that while the globes are air-conditioned, they're not exactly cool. They have to be kept to within a few degrees of the air temp outside. They originally tried truly air-conditioning them, but the globes fogged up. They couldn't NOT air condition at all because the inside was getting way hotter than it was outside. So by keeping it around the same temperature as the outside air, they don't kill the performers, but it still can't be very fun when it's in the 90's outside! Also, there are panic buttons in the floor of the globes that the performer can step on and the driver will communicate to find out what the problem is. If the performer thinks they're going to pass out or something, the driver can communicate back and the parade can be speeded up so that the guest don't see Mickey pass out.
