Parks/attractions to see

Visitng Nov19-24 to Orlando with 9 yrs old girl. We have four full days for parks/attractions.

Could you guys recommend the best parks/attractions to visit ? On my last day our flight is in the late afternoon, would you recommend any nearby place such as daytona or anyother place or should we go to NASA ?

Also would we be able to enjoy the water parks at this time of the year ?

I'm renting a Car and I think the hotel provides shuttle to main parks. Should I drive around CAR or use the shuttle in order to save on parking charges. Don't know how much is parking for one full day.

Parking is $9 for a day, good at any park, if you change parks/parking lots. Usually it is easier just to take your own car than rely on hotel shuttles, unless you are on property. I think with 4 days, I would only focus on Disney and save NASA, etc. for a longer/later trip. I would do MK, EPCOT, AK and MGM, and swimming, all depends on the weather, it can be nice enough this time of year. Perhaps buy a guidebook, and do some research, maybe even the kids guidebook available at any bookstore, and let her do some of the planning! I think she will guide you pretty well as to what she is liking, and not. Have fun!!!!

I agree, focus on the main 4 parks, they'll keep you busy enough, trust me! We're headed back in Dec. for our fifth trip since last August, and we still haven't seen/done everything! (We a little addicted, lol!) I would definately use the rental car if you're not staying onsite, as the offsite shuttles usually have set times that they run, and sometimes share with other hotels. They can say 8am, but if you still have to stop by numerous other hotels, you may not get to the park at opening, which is very important this time of year. As far as "must see/do" things, if this is your first trip, you'll probably want to try to squeeze in everything! Make sure to pace yourself though, you don't want to be exhausted the entire time and not enjoy yourself. Keep posting and asking questions, there's lots of great people with lots of info here.

the other places you mentioned; Daytona, NASA, are on the Atlantic coast. They are about 2 hours from Orlando, so you shouldn't try to go there on the last day of the trip.

I would also focus on the 4 parks in WDW... Is it your DD or GD? Whynot pull up the Disney site, and ask her opinion on what she would like to do.....she's certainly going to have her own thoughts, likes and dislikes.

Our DD9 loved having her own guidebook adn read it cover to cover and knew what she wanted to do--even had little tid-bits of info. along the way. She often knew just where we should go next. She was Chicken Little at the biginning of the trip (we tease her about being afraid) and by the end of the trip she was standing in line over and over for Rockin' Roller Coaster My suggestion is if you have some extra time outside of the parks (instead of trying to go somewhere too far away) is to do your character dining out of the parks on that day. And then, swim or explore some of the resorts, Disney Quest (HUGE favorite of this age), and DTD. Another suggestion--make reservations before you leave to eat or you will spend a lot of time searching for somewhere you can get into. Go to the restaraunt board and get great ideas. Have fun!!
