I have never rented a car before and normally relied on Disney transportation.. how does it work.. We are staying at BCV and have reservations at various hotels (on-property). Do we have to pay to park at the other hotels? Can we leave our car there and go to the parks (like when we go to Polynesian for breakfast and want to do Magic Kingdom)? We are also season pass holders.. if that makes a difference!

Thanks so much!

You will get a parking pass for the parks at check-in. You can park at a resort only if you are staying there, if you have an adr and can only park for three hours, or you can pay to valet park for $14.00 a day.

If you are a WDW resort guest you can park at the TTC and WDW parks for free. If you have an ADR at a resort, they will give you a 3 hour pass that you put on your dash. You are not allowed to park at the guest parking lots at the resorts and just leave your car there to go to the parks if you are not a guest staying at that resort. When you check into your resort they will give you a parking pass for your rental car for your particular resort. However, you can pay to valet park if you'd like to leave your car at a resort.

That is perfect! Thanks so much!!! Do you find it easier to take the bus or drive to Magic Kingdom?

When you check-in to your resort the CM will ask if you have a car. The CM will give you a resort parking pass - with your specific resort and dates noted - for you to keep on the dashboard of your car. You will not have to pay to park at your resort, nor will you have to pay to park at Theme Parks.

As far as parking at other resorts, the parking pass does not directly allow that - you're still supposed to be visiting the resort for dining, activities, etc. In my experience when the parks aren't full, you can often park at Contemporary, Poly, Boardwalk, etc. and visit MK or Epcot - the guard will often wave you into the parking lot - no questions asked.

The CM will not ask you if you have a car; all the packets have a parking pass.

Also, a gentle word of advice, since your posts are low. It is not Dis policy to give out info that goes against Disney rules. The signs at the resorts specifically state parking is for resort guests only and Poly parking is particularly small.

In addition, they have been known to tow....please do not advise a person to go against the rules and risk them being towed in the long run.

If you take the bus to MK you will be taken to the bus lot, by the entrance. If you drive you will park at the TTC and have to take the boat or monorail to MK.

BTW...if parked at TTC, you can walk or monorail to Poly for breakfast then monorail or boat from there to MK. When you are finished, just monorail or boat back to TTC.
