This is going to be a bit of a strange question.

Usually, we have our blue badge from the UK and use that at the parks to park in the disabled spaces. Well thanks to the complete ineptness of our local council, our badge ran out two-weeks ago and will be at least another 4-weeks before the review meeting to renew the thing!

So now we are left traveling to the states with a wheelchair and scooter around Disney, but no way of parking in a more appropriate space. I now know that the trams in the parks do not take the scooters, so we are either all in for a very long walk from car to park, or we will have to tram it while mum scooters it - not an ideal situation as we will be separated.

So, I was wondering if there was anyone else out there that had been in a similar situation. Is there anything else I need to look out for? Any tips or pitfalls to avoid? Thanks

I would talk to the parking attendants as you go. There are medical parking spots reserved for those who don't have a handicapped parking permit. They usually reserve the first few spots in the first rows for those with wheelchairs and scooters. The CM's should be able to point you the right way.

If you are driving rather than taking disney transport, tell the parking attendant you have an ECV but no disabled tag.you should directed to a special lot that has disabled as wel as non-disabled spaces. Do NOT park in a disabled space without a badge/disabled plate, you may be ticketed. There are non-disabled spaces in that lot. Please be sure to park in one of these spaces.

Note, however, there is no tram from/to this lot and the walk is further than from where the trams in the "normal" lot drop you off.
