Parking Overnight at City Walk

Unlike WDW, the parks and the hotels are owned separately, so revenue to the hotels isn't necessarily revenue to the parks and vice versa.

I've also read that parking at the resorts isn't even controlled by the resorts but is run by a completely separate company.
I've read the same thing about the parking lots at the hotels.

You can park for one night at the garage without being towed. There are people who drive, go to Citywalk, unexpectedly end up consuming too much alcohol to drive home, and leave the car. They park the cars in a different section the next day so that they know who left the car behind. If you leave the car there two nights, they will tow it. We left a car parked one night in the garage on a two night trip. It's absolutely ridiculous that they charge parking for the hotels, especially for AP holders. Why should an AP holder pay a high fee to park when parking is free in the garage?

there is that one exception for over night parking.
it the driver is tanked, they would need to contact the employee working the parking garage.
they can make arrangements so they car won't be towed away later that night.

but you need to make that arrangement before you leave your car over night there.

always wiser to take a taxi back home than drive drunk.

I've heard this as well. Something about they move the cars to a certain area that doesn't get towed- valet maybe? I can't remember exactly.

yes, something like that.
the car is safe and the driver is wise to take a taxi home.
