Hi

I've just found out that I've got to go to London for an 11am meeting next Wednesday (16th April). It's a last minute thing and to get the train from Chester would cost £200 each (there are three of us). We used to own a flat in Finchley central so I'm used to driving down to that part of London and getting the tube in from there. However, I've never had to try to park there before. My brother lives in Dulwich so normally I'd contact him but he's on his honeymoon :confused3 . I don't really wanna have to drive into London itself and pay the £30ish parking plus the congestion fees, as we are only gonna be there for the day (I'm driving down and back same day so I don't even wanna be that late leaving). I'm going to WDW the week after so I also really can't afford to pay a fortune (on top of the petrol costs). Can anyone suggest a tube station that I could park at? Does anyone know if Finchley is easy to park in? Cockfosters? Barnet? Any alternatives?

Thank you

I always drive down the M1 and then park at Stanmore station and get the tube in from there :)

Parking is £1 i think

Thank you. Is there any problem getting a space? If we aimed to be there around 9pm for example?

We've just come back from a few days in Denham Green (a few minutes drive off the motorway M40 I think - didn't pay much attention as DH sorts that out!), they have a rail link (40 minutes) to Marylebone or one day we drove to Harringdon tube station (plenty of parking £3.50 per day) and caught the tube in.

We always park at Cockfosters. All day parking is £2 and I have been at many times of the day and week and always found plenty of spaces.
