Has anyone been to Downtown Disney lately? I understand with the construction, parking is difficult. Can anyone comment on their recent DD parking experiences? Thanks!

I was actually coming to ask the same question...

We have 7:45pm dinner reservations on a Sunday night. We have to drive (staying off property). Do they still offer valet parking and how much? With the new garage opening... will parking be easier? THANKS!!

I was there yesterday. Traffic and parking are still a mess. Take a bus if you can.

"Sort of" related to the OP's question: if parking is still not good even with the parking garage open (or soon to be), is it still a nice option to take the boat from the Port Orleans resorts? It's a slow trip, but I always enjoyed it, and found the walking easy from the DtD dock to the shops. Is it still an easy walk or are there a bunch of walls and detours now?

The only time the boat isn't a good idea is when it's not operating - either outside normal hours or in severe weather :)

We were there the day of the marathon this month, and it was fine. The garage was fine. (getting out was difficult due to signs pointing in wrong directions, LOL) Getting to the garage was the longest part of the process because of the LONG lights on that road.

I've had WAY worse times getting parking at DTD, at lighter crowd times.
