I will be taking a family vacation next week, with several families spread out over three hotels (POly, SSR and CSR). I will have a car and need to pick up someone from SSR. Likewise I need to visit family at the Poly, possible with a case of water for them.

What is the best way to get to park at these resorts without having a dining reservation?

Go to the gate, tell the security guard why you are there for. They might ask who at the resort you are visiting and check if person is at the said resort.

Poly will be the most difficult because the guards try to protect against people parking there to go to MK. I would suggest that your family members inquire at checkin about the policies regarding having visitors park at the resort to visit them.

couldn't you just get physical room keys from each of the hotels from your family(after check-in) and use the non guard entrance and swipe the room key to raise the gate? Just make sure you remember which key is for which resort.

Plan breakfast or lunch there.
Place an order at Captain Cooks, tell the guard you are picking up food (which isn’t a lie - you’ll have the order to prove it) and they’ll let you in. We do this all the time so I can have my Tonga Toast when we are just passing through.

We all arrive on Saturday. My plan was to go to SSR to pick up my family member on Saturday afternoon so we can go to Walmart. I won't see her until I pick her up at the hotel

You are basically acting like an Uber driver. Poly maybe more strict if you plan on parking and visiting for multiple hours.

Just tell the guard that you’re picking up and give them the name of the person and their room number. As @Skippyboo says above, it shouldn’t be a problem.

I agree with Carolyn above. If you are there for an honest reason, they are not unreasonable.
My husband and I dropped our sons off at golf across the street last year and we told the guard at Poly that we did that and wanted to get the Pork Nachos for dinner and check out this resort while we waited. He didn’t even flinch, just kindly told us where we should park.
