Has anyone ever been towed for parking too long at DVC they were not registered at?
I recall being waved in at other locations in the past based on the DVC parking permit issued by DVC we were registered at.
We stayed at AKL and were able to park at Poly with no problems. We told the CM at the gate and they let us in after checking our KTTW card. We actually left the car there overnight as we hopped the monorail to MK and took the bus home.
Does the Poly's lot ever fill-up completely? Our family has had breakfast at Kona cafe, then gone to MK for pictures for a couple of hours, or boated on 7SL, and come back in mid to late afternoon several times over the last decade in mid-June. We've always parked only halfway back, and there has always been ample parking.
Just don't tell anyone else you heard it from me.or it won't stay true. (I agree it is very un-Disney to park at a resort for an entire day simply to avoid the congested theme park parking lot.)

if i were a guest at the poly and couldn't find a spot due to people like this, i would want them would tow...
hopefully most people are more considerate.
Disney is not going to tow a car as long as there is a valid resort parking pass displayed in the window and it's in a designated parking space.
Some resorts will only allow parking for registered guests, special event (weddings, etc) guests, or convention guests. The Boardwalk is one of those that will turn away those that are not in one of those groups.
Even DVC talks about members not parking at other resorts. For example, any DVC member staying at a WDW resort can now visit the TOTWL at BLT for the evening fireworks. But DVC also tells members they must use park transportation to get there because they are not permitted to park their vehicles there.
unless you valet. You can valet at any wdw resort with no time limit.
I want to make sure I am not breaking any rules, but from my understanding when my boys and I go in september (staying at BLT) we will be able to park at BCV while going to eat at Beaches and Cream for lunch.
Am I correct?
We simply ask for a three hour parkin pass to eat.
