Parking at hotels

My family and I are visiting universal for the first time this fall. We are staying off site because of a fabulous deal we got months ago at Wyndham Bonnet Creek. I'm worried I will regret not staying at a hotel with the express pass but we will have many days at the parks so hopefully it will not be a huge problem. Anyway, I am thinking of getting a season pass (the one that gives you free parking). If we want to drive to the various Universal hotels to explore or eat do we have to pay the parking fee at the hotel or does the annual pass cover that parking fee?

You will still have to pay the hotel parking fee. You can park at the main garage and transfer using boat transportation in city walk.

Are there separate boats to each hotel from Citywalk or does one boat make stops at all 3 deluxe hotels? We can take a bus to Cabana Bay correct? How do you get to Sapphire falls?

Separate boats to Portofino, Hard Rock, Royal Pacific, and SF. All 4 have their own boats. You can also walk to all 4 from CityWalk. While you can also walk to CB from CityWalk, there is a bus, from CityWalk to CB. And yes, even if you want to eat in one of the hotel's restaurants, you will pay for parking.

As all of the above posts say, park at the main garage, then use the boats or walking paths to explore the onsite resorts. And just in case you see some signage that says "resort guests only" you will be able to use them with no issue. They don't check you for room keys or anything.

And just like at Disney "resort guest" means "someone visiting the resort", and "resort" means the whole place. If you're there, you're a guest.

the visitor guest parking at the hotels costs a lot more than the guests staying at the hotel...
cheaper for your guests that drive to the hotel to meet you during a day is to park at city walk and take a boat to your hotel

Thanks so much everyone! All good info. Can't wait to experience it in 3 months!

Oh and yes, if you have an AP that includes free parking, you can park for free in the CityWalk parking garages. That is what we do if not visiting the park. I have a preferred AP, so park and used boat to have breakfast at the Portofino, and another time to eat at Toothsome and another to watch a movie and eat at Margaritaville.

Have a great trip!

, I am thinking of getting a season pass (the one that gives you free parking)

just a heads up, you don't get free parking with seasonnal pass (least exepnsive AP)
with power pass you get 50% off parking (seond least expensive AP)
it's only with preferred and premier that you get free parking at Citywalk

preferred pass is $100 more than the seasonal pass, so if you're only getting it for free parking, you might not break even.

No free parking at hotels, with any AP.

I arrive on 8/19 and depart on 8/26 -- do I pay parking on my departure day? We will be leaving around 6:30am.

Also, can I come and go from the garage without additional fees? The $22/per day is for the whole day, even I leave and come back?

Thanks

If departure day is
Before midnight, no day charge

The clock starts at midnight for parking fees

You can come and go all you want

No fees involved for that
