I'm just trying to figure out my budget. We are staying 3 nights at RPH. I'm pretty sure we'll be renting a car. I know they charge $20/day to park. (Ridiculous!) We'll be in the parking lot from Saturday around 5pm, until checkout on Tuesday. Are we going to be charged $60 (3 nights) or $80 (4 days)? I know it sounds stupid, but I just want to know how much they will charge. We may not even move the car during our stay.

They charge for each night you stay, not days.

3 days charge.
you leave before midnight that tuesday, so plan on $60 + taxes.

Just curious, why do you want to rent a car? You certainly don't need one during a stay at a Universal resort, unless you want to do things away from the parks.

We used a town car service to and from the airport for about the same price as parking would have been, much less the cost of a rental.

Plus gas and the hassle of pickup and return.

We wouldn't be without a car as we like to get around a bit.......but if I was only staying for 3 nights it's not necessary.

As others have said you will pay parking per night not by day.

I don't blame you guys for having a car. Gotta go visit all those shops and eateries. I don't think Kyle can live without his cake. Lol

We are doing 3 nights at Universal, then 3 nights at Disney, so we need transport from from the airport to Universal, then US to Disney. My DH likes to have a car available. I agree that we probably won't use the car while we're at Universal, but we'll have that option. I'm hoping rental prices come down--right now they are high but considering the transfer costs, not too bad.
