Hi! I leave tomorrow! :rotfl2::cool1::moped:
We have Chef Mickeys dinner at 620 one night, then will be going to MK for the 9pm parade. Thought I would drive to CR for the ADR, but want to know if I can stay parked there until after parade? How long can I stay parked for my ADR? That would be great to just walk over and back and not have to use the bus. But, we are staying at BC, so will use bus if needed. Thank for the help!!! I'm sooooooooo excited!!

Typically they will give you a 3 hour parking pass for a meal at a resort. Though you can pay to valet park your car and leave it as long as you like, without fear of it being towed. That would run you around $20, including tip.

I haven't seen them giving out 3 hr parking passes in awhile now. I would just ask the CM at the security shack when you arrive. If you are told that you can leave your car there, then fine. If you are told that you will have to move it, then you'll have to move it.
If it were me? I would just take the bus to MK from BC, walk over to the CR for dinner and then back to MK for the parade.

At busy times of year, there is signage up that will say 'parking for park access is not provided'. This means that if you eat at the resort, or shop or whatever, you are expected to move your car after you are done. That you are not expected to leave the car there while you then head to a park. This usually applies to CR, Poly, GF, BW, YC/BC.

It all depends on the time of year. Easy access to a park(s) is what deluxe resort guests are paying for. So, it's not really fair to expect them to be happy about non-resort guests taking up parking spaces for easier park access.

Think of it like this. You are returning to BC with your car after a day of fun at a water park or AK. You head to the parking lot and there are no spaces because all the people who dined at YC Steakhouse or Beaches and Cream or Cape May parked there then headed over to Epcot from the BC. Now you can't find a parking place because they have taken them all.

If you take the bus, you can monorail or walk over to Chef Mickey's from the MK.

You can also park at the TTC and take the monorail to the CR. Then your car will be fine (you don't have to worry about moving it) and you can take the monorail or ferry back to the TTC after the parade.

I didn't even think of this! Perfect!! Thanks! And thanks to ev1 for the fast replies. I definitely would not want to take a space that is not allowed, so glad I asked!! Now we can get an extra monorail ride in for the kids too :)

Similar situation, but let's flip the times to the morning for a 7:00 A.M. ADR at Chef Mickey's. What would you suggest for transportation from POR for that situation? We will have our vehicle with us, by the way.

Either valet park or use a taxi to get to The Contemporary. Either option will be waaaay faster than relying on the buses to get to your ADR, and well worth the $20 spent.

That's a much harder one. There are buses running to the parks at 6:30am. You would need to be out at the MK bus stop no later than 6:20...to be sure to be on that first bus. Then you could walk over to the CR from MK...takes under 10 mins.
But if you miss that first MK bus, you aren't going to make it in time. I would do one of two things....drive myself to CM's, then move the car over to the TTC after breakfast. You should be done eating by 8-8:15. Then take the ferry or express monorail over to MK. You could even let the rest of your group just walk over to MK while you moved the car.
Or, pay to valet park....about $15 plus tip. Or take a cab..probably about the same as valet parking.

For an evening ADR, I think whether you can leave your car afterwards depends on the time of year & how busy it is. DD and I just got back a couple of days ago, and had dinner at Chef Mickey's Saturday evening. I drove over, as we were planning to just return to our resort after dinner. When we were done, DD asked if we could go back to MK. One our way out, I explained to one of the valet guys (we had NOT valet parked) that we had parked there for Chef Mickey's and were now going to the MK, and asked if I should move the car to the TTC, and he said no, just leave it there. (In the end, when DD saw how many people were heading into MK - it was open until 1 am that night - she decided she'd rather just go back to our resort to swim, so we went back & got the car anyway.) However, the parking lot had many, many empty spots - I'm sure that at a busier time you wouldn't be able to leave the car.

One our last trip we ate at Chef Mickey's for breakfast, we drove over and told security that we were there for breakfast with the mouse, he showed us where to park. Of course afterwards we either had to drive back to the resort or to the park because you can't stay parked there.

Probably because the guests staying at BLT and CR were at other parks and driving back to their hotel afterwards to go to MK until 1AM.

Thanks for the options, folks. None of them are particularly appetizing. Probably leaning towards talking to the concierge at POR to see if they can advise riding a bus and, if not, driving to CR and moving my truck back to MK while my wife and boys walk over to MK.

You can ride a bus, but concierge won't be able to get one for you. Disney advises giving yourself 90 minutes to get to any ADR using their buses. Which is enough time to handle and setback (such as a bus not showing up, or an accident) and get you to your ADR the 15-20 beforehand Disney wants you there.

For a 7:00am ADR you need to be at the bus stop by 6:00am.
