Parking at CBR

Is there parking available at Old Port Royale? If I don't request a preferred room, will be able to drive and park at OPR? I know they did have an internal bus, but I don't like to wait on buses. We drive a lot when we are at WDW.

Yes, you can drive to and park at Old Port Royale.

Thanks, I thought so. I don't think that for a short trip paying for a preferred room is worth the extra price. We drive to most places anyway, so the distance won't matter much to us.

Most of the areas at CBR are within 5-10 min walk of OPR. But you can park at OPR.

The parking at CBR rings the back of the resort buildings. Unless you are very far away from OPR, it will probably be faster to walk to OPR than to walk out to the parking lot, find a space in the lot near OPR and then walk back in again from that lot. Of course, if you are coming back from somewhere else, you might find parking at OPR more convenient.

We were in Barbados 15 last October and it wasn't a bad walk to OPR, about 5 minutes. We bought refillable mugs and when we were returning from a park, we parked at OPR, refilled our mugs and then drove back to the room (left them in the car when we went to the parks).

I drove to Old Port Royale many times when I stayed at CBR last October. I was in Trinidad South, which was a decent hike to anywhere. I was so tired after walking the parks all day that walking to OPR was just too much extra walking my feet did not want to do! By the third day of my trip, every morning I would always drive to Old Port Royale and park, eat at the food court, then catch the bus there. When returning from the parks, I would get off at Old Port Royale, eat dinner, and drive back to Trinidad South. I was very glad I had my car there!

I found it much quicker to get in the car and drive than to walk, as my room was near the parking lot. Driving really saved me alot of time.
