I've read some reviews on Trip Advisor that speak of the horrors of parking your car at both BWPPI and Desert Inn & Suites. We are getting 2 rooms with 2 rental cars (size of a Chevy Impala) I know that we are allowed 1 car per room, but is the parking so limited that we may end up without a spot when we return from Universal or Knott's? :scared:

We were there in June and drive a large SUV. We didn't have any problem finding and fitting into a parking spot. There is parking all the way around the building. I wouldn't worry. Have fun :thumbsup2

I think what they are implying when they say "watch out for parking" is too watch out because your parking spot may not be near your room. I read that review too (I love tripadvisor!) and he was just saying that he had to park a little further than he would have liked to... and he had to park in a tight squeeze or something like that. There will be parking because each room is only allowed one car per room.

I totally agree. I was there in june. You might not get to park right in front of your room, but you will find a parking spot. Don't worry about it:cool1: Just go have fun

The Desert inn and Suites has an underground parking garage as well as parking up top. If it's 1 car per room then it should be fine. The earlier you get to the hotel the easier it is to find a spot. I would say this, once you find a spot if at all possible dont move the car.

We had an issue at the Desert Inn. OK what is the rule about handicapt parking? There was ONE spot with the blue sign nailed to the wall above the spot... obvious HC parking I wont park there. The spot next to it, only had faded worn blue paint dude in the wheelchair painted on the ground. It looked like that used to be HC but the paint had worn off and there was NO blue official sign attached to the wall above the spot. IS THIS HANDICAPT PARKING OR A NORMAL SPACE? I always thought it HAD TO BE PROPERLY MARKED WITH BLUE LINES AND AN OFFICIAL SIGN. Just was unsure of the rule honestly as I didnt want the rent a cop to ticket me or get towed. This issue comes up at Starbucks too. There is one official clearly marked space and 2 old paint on the ground spaces. It's very frustrating to know whats what.

anyone??

If you're going at the beginning of September, I won't be using my spot!
