Hi,

We always do valet parking at the Boardwalk with the family because of the distance involved. Is it necessary at BCV too, or is the distance a bit shorter? Also, is access to the rooms only through the main lobby at BCV? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

We haven't stayed there yet, but my son and I parked there on July 1 and took a look at BCV. There is parking steps away from one door...the one farthest away from the walkway to the BC. You do not need to go through the lobby. Probably need your room key, though although I think that is the door we entered that morning and we obviously didn't have a room key. Maybe we walked to the BC entrance, though??? I know we exited through that door. It's not so much a lobby though as a foyer. Sort of like VWL.

Even if the distance is shorter why self park when you can valet park? This is a nice perk why not use it? To me it is worth the tip to get into a cool car that is pulled up to the door for me, heck I'm on vacation! LOL!:D

I agree, DeeP, we get free valet parking, so take advantage of it!

Well, we are new to this, but knowing my husband there is no way we will walk all the way back to the parking circle and tip a couple of dollars if we can walk right out to our car. It would depend on where in the building we are, I think. Of course, we don't normally go in the summer so cooling the car is not a big deal.Parking is much closer at the BCV than the BWV incidentally.

I was there in July. The building is quite long and the end farthest away from the lobby gets close to parking spaces. There are handicapped spots also. So: if your room is close to the lobby it may be easier to enter through the lobby and then you might want the valet to park for you. But if your room is down at the other end, you can easily self-park and use your room key to open one of the doors down at that end. We self-parked so we could walk to our vehicle though air-conditioned hallways. This also helped when we bought groceries. I wasn't about to carry those paper bags from the WinnDixie through the gorgeous lobby! :D
