I am sure this has been covered elsewhere.

I am staying on Property. Can I park at the Wilderness Lodge during the day, take the boat to MK, then back to Wilderness Lodge, have dinner at the Wilderness Lodge and then leave? If not can I bus to MK in the AM, then retrun to my hotel for a nap/swim and then go to WL later in the day and go back and forth between MK and WL before dinner?

Parking at a resort outside of your home resort is not meant for park access. Although not as common outside the MK area (Poly, GF, Contemporary) resorts and EPCOT area resorts (Beach Club, Yatch Club, Boardwalk), you are often given a 3 hour parking pass.

You can take buses, boats, etc. between any park and any resort all you want.

So we want to go to POR for dinner and a walk around, we can park for that? Taking the bus takes so long from hotel to dtd/park, then on to the hotel.

You are free to park at any resort as long as you are doing something at that resort. It is considered to be both 'against Disney rules' as well as just 'rude' to park at a resort for the day while off in a park. The people at that particular resort are paying for that priviledge in their resort costs. One of the things that make it more expensive to stay at a monorail resort is the ability to get to the MK easily. Why do others feel it's okay to drive from, let's say ASMusic, park at the CR, and then spend the say at the MK?? Now, if you wish to pay to valet park, all bets are off. You are free to go wherever you wish if you valet park.

Thank you!!!

There are also certain days of the year (namely holidays) that you will not be permitted to park at any of the MK resorts unless you are staying there. One year we flew in on July 4th and were staying at POFQ. We had dinner reservations at 'Ohana at the Poly and the manager at POFQ told us that we would not be permitted to park over there because of the holiday fireworks. Long story short, they drove us over from POFQ to the Poly in one of the WDW vans. (They only did this for us because there was a huge mix up at check-in and our room wasn't going to be ready until after 7:00 PM, so they were trying to make me happy!)

That's also true when the Contemporary might be hosting a few major conventions that involve a lot of guests. For example in August 2006 when I was staying there they had at least 2 or 3 big conventions taking place and one Cast Member told me they were on lockdown. That meant only guests staying there or with confirmed ADR's would be allowed in past the security gate, anyone else would be turned away. In fact there was one day when some friends of mine from Orlando were picking me up since I planned to meet them and they weren't allowed in to park at the main entrance, even though they weren't even parking there. So I had to meet them at the Polynesian.
