Hello everyone....I have 2 questions. We are planning a little DL trip next Saturday and we were planning to get tickets and then upgrade to a So Cal AP at the end of the day. Then I realized that a 3 day parkhopper is the same price as the AP ($169) and so I thought that I would get that instead so we could go a half day on Friday and then go Sat. like we planned and be able to use EE on Sat. So even though they are the same price, would we still be allowed to upgrade to an AP?

Also, during EE what time do they open the parking lot (since we'll be staying offsite) ?

Thanks for your help!!

Yes you can upgrade your tickets to AP's. Do it on the last day that you use your ticket, to avoid blockout issues.

If you are eligible for a SoCal AP, then you should also go to Albertsons or Von's and pick up 3 day parkhoppers for $99 each.

If don't know exactly what time M&F parking opens, but I assume you can park at least 30 minutes before the EE time. I didn't know that parkhopper tickets allowed Early Entry, but then we never get up that early.:rolleyes1

Have a great trip!!

PS we just got back from a trip to DL and San Diego

Thanks! From my understanding you get one EE day when you buy a 3 day (or more) parkhopper.....you don't get it with a 1 or 2 day hopper.

Hi, Talie,

They open M&F parking 30 minutes before MM. The problem with that is that by the time you park, get the tram, and get to the gates, you'll be very far back in the lines, or MM may have already started and you'll be behind the crowds. I have read that a good strategy is to have the driver drop you off at the main entry off Harbor, 45 minutes before MM starts, and then park the car while you go get places in line. Hopefully he can get back to you before the gates open.
