I am an early planner and planning our second Disney trip! We aren't going till November 2014!:yay: Yes WAY early but I like to get good deals and well honestly can you think of anything else better to do during nap time. Who needs folded clothes or a vacuumed floors! :rotfl:
Here is my question, We are going to do 3 days of Disney this time and 2 days of Universal is there any way we can do 1 of the days park hoppers and the other 2 without it and still get the discount or do I need to buy separately? We did Magic Kingdom in one day last time but with the Fantasyland I think we may need a day and half and do Hollywood Studios a half day as much as I love it I think baby girl is going to want to do Magic Kingdom more! She is a Princess and loves her Cinderella princess: Please help if you can

Adding the park hopper feature to your tickets is an "all or nothing" thing. You can't just add the hopper feature to one individual day. It's the same cost (about $60) whether you use it once or twice or even ten days.

It's an add-on cost to your regular ticket - it's not separate. So, say that your tickets cost $300 each. by adding on the hopper option, your ticket price would then be $360 (approximately).

Because the cost is almost $60 per ticket to add the hopper feature, you'll need to decide whether it's worth it to you to add on that $60 feature for just one day of hopping. I would guess that most folks would not go to that expense just for one day of hopping.

Hope this helps explain it.

zozo's response is not completely accurate - park hopping is cheaper for a one day ticket. It's only $35 as opposed to $57 for a multi-day ticket.

The cost of a one day hopper plus a 2-day base ticket is $319.50. A 3-day hopper is $318.44.

Ah, good to know! That makes it more reasonable for a one-day ticket.

Disney Math is strange. The following prices are for an Adult ticket and do not include the 6.5% Sales Tax.

One Day Base = $89
One Day Hopper = $124
One Day Base + One Day Hopper = $213

Two Day Base = $176
Two Day Hopper = $233

Three Day Base = $242
Three Day Hopper = $299

So if you are specifically going for only two days and you will be using the Hopper feature on only one of the two days, this is the only circumstance in Disney Ticketing where you save money by having separate tickets for each day and not a multi-day ticket.
