Hello all!
I just spent 4 hours on hold, and the CM I talked to wasn't having a great day.
Normally, I'd call back in to get another CM, but I am not waiting another 4 hours.
Situation:
my DD's high school group will be at WDW in mid-march.
One night, they have an special ticket after-hours party at DHS from 10:30-12:45pm. (DHS closes at 9pm that night).
In order to attend the party, all participants MUST ride the trip bus from TTC to DHS.
The travel agent said that post-event there will be NO Disney transportation available for people that aren't riding the trip bus(so Uber/Lyft only or park at DHS prior to park close).
I have a park reservation that day for MK.
My plan was to park at DHS, then take Disney transportation to MK and spend the day at MK.
The CM I talked to said this is not possible, that I will be asked to prove my park reservation and am only allowed to park at the lot for my park reservation.
She suggested I park at MK, then anytime after 2pm I could move my car to DHS parking lot (using my parking ticket from MK) and then make my way back to MK.
When I asked where this policy was listed on the website, she responded with "it's been this way for over a year, you can't park unless you have a valid park reservation for THAT park or it's past 2pm for park hopping".
I see posts like this from last year:
https://www.disboards.com/threads/park-at-dhs-skyliner-or-friendship-boats-to-epcot.3846507/---and think maybe just having a park reservation will get access to park
or this one:
https://www.disboards.com/threads/parking-at-parks-without-reservation.3837858/#post-62993601---May 2021 people could park at DHS when park reservation was for Epcot
My question for all of you - when you park at a lot, do they scan your park reservation or make you "prove" you're parking for that park?
NOTE: I know this will probably take awhile in the morning, but I'm not overly worried about getting to MK super early.
I'd rather take the extra time in the morning, and be set for the day than have to leave mid-afternoon.
but, it'd be a HUGE mess to try to park at DHS early AM, get turned away, park at MK, then go back to DHS to park and then travel BACK to MK.
