When getting the magic+ package (room, dining, and tickets) does everyone have to have the same number of tickets?

Yes, you have to start with the same tickets. Just buy the least number of days and options needed, then various members of your party can add whatever else they want once they get to the parks. (Just be sure to use the ticket first to gain the best price advantage).

I have an unrelated question about tickets. Is it possible to add on the park hopper for only 1 day of a 3-4 day ticket package? If they were giving me actual tickets it seems like it'd be easy, but since it'll all be on a magic band I'm not sure how that would work.

Park hoppers will cost you 64.00 pp per ticket no matter how many days you hop. If hopping for only one day-- thats really expensive. But you can add hopper when you arrive. or you can call and have it added to your package
