We have a split stay planned, 5 days at OKW, 5 days at AKL. To get the best price, I want to buy a 10 day WPF&M ticket from Undercover Tourist.

Will each resort be able to add the UT ticket to my KTTW card? Or would I have to buy two 5 day tickets for that to work? And would the answers be any different if I bought the tickets directly from WDW?
Please advise wise and all knowing Disfans! :worship:

I wouldn't bother to add the tickets to your KTTW cards. Just use the WPF&M. But really I think you should consider purchasing a Premium AP. You probably would spend less especially with the DVC member discount.

Agreed. Keep your park admission separate from your KTTW. We usually have APs and it's not a problem to carry them separate at all.

I'd also recommend the AP. Based on your sig it looks like u also usually travel to Disney within a year apart so if you are planning to go next year just go before your AP's expire and you save a lot of money because you will have your tickets paid.

I think the break even cost on a reg. AP works out in about 8 park days. We don't always visit the water parks (esp. during off-season trips) so rather than buying the Premium APs we use the DVC discount & go to to those & pay OOP if & when we go. That way I don't feel like I'm wasting money if we only go once during 2 trips.

I've read on the Theme Parks forum that you can have tickets switched between KTTW cards. I personally do not like having admission on my keycard, so I wouldn't put it on the first card, let alone switch things. But I've read it can be done.

IF your next trip finishes 365 from the start of this upcoming one, then I'd do the Premium AP. An adult 10 day wpm ticket is 354.95 (without hopping) from undercovertourist, and through DVC the Premium AP is 558 including taxes, so if you were going again and needing to buy more tickets, that second set of tickets would bring the cost over that Premium AP.

Of course, that assumes your next trip is fully inside the 365 days and that you KNOW you're going...

Thanks all but I think you missed the point. I won't be back within a year so an AP is not an economical choice. Second, I want the park tickets on the KTTW because it's that much less for me to keep track of considering I have to keep track of the kids tickets also. It's a bigger hassle if they lose the UT tickets than if they lose a KTTW card.

I know adding park tickets to KTTW can be done, but sometimes its a real hassle depending on the CM. So, all I'm asking is if someone knows...on a split stay will they be able to add a 10 day ticket to my KTTW card at both resorts or do I have to buy 2 five day tickets?

I've heard they can do it, but I have also heard people who tried to do it had lots of problems.

I have 2 kids whose tickets I keep track of. We have APs so they are not on our KTTW cards. (I understand you don't want APs; just using my own family for an example) It is FAR less hassle to keep track of KTTW cards and separate tickets than it would be to try to have UT tickets put on 1 KTTW card, then stripped off that KTTW card to be put on another. What if you arrive at a park and the tickets don't work? Is it worth it? I don't see what the big deal is about keeping the tickets separate from you KTTW card. We do it all the time. If you want to spend more $ and buy 2 five day tickets to be sure it can be done, go for it. Just seems silly to me.
