Hi all!

So we planned a 12 day trip to Disney for this August. We have 10 day park hopper passes. My question is, if we go to one of the water parks will that count as one of our days on our 10 day passes we have?

Thanks!

You will need to purchase Park Hopper Plus to be able to visit water parks – unless you buy a stand-alone water park ticket. A standard Park Hopper ticket won’t do.

If you have the Park Hopper Plus, your water park entries are different than your theme park days. Important distinction: ENTRIES vs DAYS. And no, a water park doesn’t come out of the same allotment as your theme park days in that case. You’d be able to visit a water park (using one of your entries) and a theme park (using one of your days) on the same day.

If you wanted to visit ANOTHER water park on the same day, you would use a second entry. But entering a second theme park on the same does not use another day (because those entitlements are calendar days and not entries).

Hope that’s clear! It can be a little confusing.

We have the park hopper plus. I’m sorry I should have said that.

So if we go to the water park with our park hopper plus, it will not count towards one of our park entries.

With a 10-day PHP, you could do 10 days in the parks and 10 separate days at one of the plus options, if you had 20 days to stay at WDW.

Are the water park entitlements not subject to the same 15 day use window as the theme park entitlements?

Ok, let me answer my own question here. I took the following directly from the ticket page on Walt Disney World: "Your tickets are valid for admission to multiple theme parks on any 10 days from Aug 5, 2019 through Aug 19, 2019. Your ticket also provides 10 visits to a water park or other Walt Disney World fun during the same date range"

This means that you can not use your 10 theme park days, AND spend 10 separate days in the water parks, because you only have a 15 day window in which to use all 20 entitlements. The absolute only way you could accomplish using them all would be if at least 5 of your water park entries were on days that you also entered a theme park.

If you're staying on property, you have the length of your stay to use your tickets.

"Tickets purchased as part of a Walt Disney Travel Company room and ticket package are valid for admission beginning on the date of check-in and must be used by the date of check-out, or in accordance with the validity windows listed above—whichever period is longer"

SO, if we are going for 10 days, but plan to spend one full day at a waterpark we can buy a 9 day PH+ and get in any/all of the parks (MK, EP, AK, HS) the first 4 days, then spend a day at a water park and then spend the last 5 days in any/all of the parks, right? Similarly i could buy an 8 day PH+ and do 8 days in any/all parks, 1 @ BB, 1@TL and be good, right?

Not quite accurate. The plus options, like water parks, are a number of admissions not days. If you go to two water parks in one day that uses 2 of your plus admissions. They are not like theme park tickets in that there is no hopping between pluses in one day.

The park hopper add on is only so that you can go to the 4 theme parks ont he same day.
You cannot enter a water park with that ticket therefore no it would not take a day off.

Buy the ticket for how ever many days you want to go to the theme parks and then either add the park hopper plus add on or just buy a water park ticket.

But if you only go to ONE water park per day, you COULD extend the vacation to 20 days. That was my point.
