Park ticket hierarchy on magic bands

Planning trips to WDW for both June and next January so we're considering purchasing annual passes. We all have a few park days from non-expiration tickets on our magic bands now and are curious what happens when you combine these two elements?

Our hope obviously is that the leftover days are ignored while we have the annual pass. Does anyone know how this works and if it doesn't go properly, can this be adjusted afterward (to return a 'non-expiration' day back to the magic bands)?

Thank you! Jamie

1. BEFORE going into a theme park, stop by any Guest Relations and
have the CM set the PRIORITY of the ticket that you WANT to use NEXT to the highest priority.
Once that ticket is set, it will be used until
A) it is all used up -or-
B) it can be set to a lower priority for another ticket to be used.
This can be done as many times as you like.

2. Have the AP set for the highest priority, and that is what will happen.
3. See #1 above.
4. It can be fixed, but it should be fine if you set the priorities correctly.

And to add before I left for our trip home I made sure that the extra tickets were still there untouched. It's much easier to resolve there than after you get home.

There should also be an option to deactivate tickets through the MDE. I did that last year when I had an AP and left over days with a non-expiring ticket.

If you purchase your new APs using a new MDE account, you won't have to worry about the non-expiring tickets being inadvertently used.

As long as the non-expiring tickets are in a different MDE, you can use them for perpetual FPs, booked 30 days in advance, until you actually use them for park entrance.

How did you do this? I see the non expiring tickets that we have in MDE, but it doesn't say how many days are left on them. So I wouldn't know if a day was incorrectly taken from it instead of an AP. (I have the same situation as the OP).
