I would personally bus to MK and then either take a launch or the monorail over to the GF. I am pretty sure that the resort loop there shares buses and I would think that a bus would take longer than the Resort Launch or Monorail. Make sure to allow quite a bit of time for travel - an hour plus.
We stayed at POR and had breakfast adr's for Ohana once early and we ate 1900 for dinner this trip. We take the bus to MK and then catch the monorail. We've done the boat to Wilderness Lodge, but it does take longer. THe monorail is always fun.

Thanks so much all- I am so super excited to leave on Thursday a.m. (wooohoo flight leaves at 5:45 a.m.!!)
but this only being our second trip, we are trying new places and I am not so familar with where everything is located. There's a fine line between planning and having some spontaneous fun, but I dont want to miss our reservations anywhere
There's no bus service between GF and MK. You can take the monorail or the boat; timewise, there's not much difference. Sometimes the monorail is a little faster, sometimes the boat is.
