Attendance was relatively light at DL yesterday. I met a number of nice people at the roe, notably two girls from Tokyo. They spoke little English but I took two years of Japanese in college so I could ask a few basic questions. One of them was actually a CM at Tokyo Disneyland! Coincidentally, about three months ago I met a CM from DL Paris. Also met a nice mother and daughter visiting from Phoenix. They lived very close to some old friends of mine.

Rope-dropped PP, which was a mistake. I was the first from the rope to the PP queue… but my friends saw the length of the line and made for other attractions. When I looked for them, they were nowhere to be seen. Took about 15 mins until I boarded. When I reconnected with my friends at Snow White, they’d already been on three attractions. I guess I got caught up in the frenzy of being first to PP from the rope.

Did Buzz later, which was supremely frustrating. When I got a good score, it didn’t come through. When I was on track to break 2M, several targets simply wouldn’t work. There were at least three times when at least three key targets wouldn’t work. Oh well. At some point I had to concede that yesterday simply wasn’t my day. At least at far as Buzz went.

I spoke with my friend who’s a security CM. I’d reported someone smoking dope in the FL bathroom neat Matterhorn. I don’t care if people choose to smoke at home. that’s none of my business. But I hate when they bring that nonsense into the park. If you must be high at DL, go with edibles or smoke in your car. But don’t burden the rest of us with it. In any case, it just so happened that my friend was dispatched to “scene of the crime” ;-). He told me two things I never knew. One: they have to see someone smoking in order to remove them from the park. Two: Children aren’t allowed to ride disability scooters along with parents/grandparents/whatever if the scooter was rented from Disney. It’s a term of the rental agreement. So: if people bring their own scooters, kids can ride along but of course that’s not preferred or recommended.

There was a group of young women - 100 or so - who dressed for “Galentine’s Day." I spoke with several of them. The pics below of large groups are of that meet up. Also grabbed some cool pics of the reflective Monorail.

Thanks for the pictures! Looks like you had a nice day despite the Buzz difficulties. The pictures of the monorail at the subway lagoon are very nice, I like the reflection of the monorail colors in the water.

Thanks! Yes, I like them too. I always enjoy being able to get pics of new (or new to me) things at DL.

Thanks for the report! Love seeing pics of the park!

I appreciate the update on PP at RD as well. That was the attraction we would always try to hit first on a Fantasyland day, but it’s sounding more and more like we won’t try this anymore. 15-20 minute wait is not terrible for Pan but like you said, you can usually hit 3-4 rides in that same time. We likely save PP for afternoon or evening now.

Can you speak more on what happened at PP? It’s always been our first ride for EE. Is the delay because you did regular RD and the line was already backed up and the other rides were not?

Wow, the Monorail looks great! Love the pictures of the marching band. It's always fun to see them.

Thanks for the great report and pictures :)

That’s exactly what happened. Rope drop is at 8:00… but Disney hotel guests get in at 7:30. It’s rare to get in and not see at least a fifteen-minute line. In fact, we usually don’t ride PP unless it’s down at 7:30. At 8:00 we go to it and hang around a bit to see if it opens sooner rather than later. That’s happened two times in the past few months and we’ve been first on the ride. Or close to it.

Thanks! That's what I had figured. We usually stay at the DLH and will definitely this trip just so we can have those 30 minutes. PP is our families sentimental first ride so EE will make a big differnece
