We're in the process of firming up flights and on-site hotel, and trying to decide if doing parks 3 days in a row is feasible. We have two younger kids so we wouldn't be looking to do all the rides, and we'll have a double stroller for them.

Right now we're looking at 6 days total:

Tuesday Day 1: travel day/Target day
Wednesday Day 2: park
Thursday Day 3: park
Friday Day 4: park
Day 5 and 6 is a Saturday and Sunday so we thought pool and resort lounging.
Monday Day 7: travel home

The alternative is to stay an extra night and do a park on the Sunday instead of on Day 4, and fly home on Tuesday. The costs to stay an extra day will run into the hundreds $ for hotel and food (and potentially car rental).
We've decided on MK, DHS, Epcot.

my goodness that's too busy for little ones I would be inclined to put one of your rest/ resort days on day 4 and your 3rd park day on day 5. That will let you just chill a bit, your kids will more than likely be happy to play in the pool.

Perhaps swap Friday (park) with Sunday (pool)? How old are your kids? I'd suggest you plan for a mid afternoon break of some sort, whether that is letting the kids nap in the stroller or going back to the hotel for a break. I'm not clear on why you feel you would need to stay an extra day if you go to the park on Sunday.

I do see you are trying to avoid being in the parks on the weekend, I'd ask what time of year you are planning to go? It may not be as busy as you think it will be.

Either way, be prepared to go slower and not get everything done. Enjoy the trip and go with what your kids are comfortable with as you go.

I think I'm trying to avoid the weekend and also have a day to unwind before we fly home. I am for sure preparing to take it easy, and we know we can't do everything, but we also don't feel we have to. Just being there is going to magic for my two. We're going mid-end August.

Epcot isn’t a full day park imo. You could do a half day at Epcot and half pool / rest day.

Yes! That's what I was hoping. They will be 6 and 2.5. We are planning to have a mid day rest for the other two parks. Epcot is more for the grown ups and for the Frozen experience, so I'm happy to hear it's a half day.

Hi Hon
I just wanted to chime in as I have been in Aug and had to adjust my expectations a bit.
Heat and sun I am used to but the overwhelming humidity that we experienced kind of wore us out.
We found going very early to the Parks and leaving early with a refresh swim and a meal/light snacks in the afternoons helped a great deal.
When people say drink lots of water you need to really really listen to that ,,kids become so dehydrated easily.

Beside the Japan Pavilion is a nice shaded Koi pond which provided us a outdoor place to sit in the shade and eat.
Those cooling cloths and cooling bandanas really help to.

Yes, I am for sure bracing myself for the weather. It wouldn't be my first choice of month to go but I'm a teacher so I'm chained to the Ontario school year, plus we have a great opportunity to go this year so it is what it is.

Ha
I know the feeling well ,,,I am however retiring at the end of June after 27 years...freedom from Ontario school holidays and pricing .

Best wishes
Mel

P.S.
I would go at it 2 days straight ,,,2 Parks ,,, then a Water Park or Pool Break day on the 3rd day.
Then hit the last Park on the fourth day.

yes, I don't think you'll see a noticeable difference in crowds from one day to the next anymore. It's really hard for anyone to use "old models" for planning strategies, I would just treat each day the same.
Yeah I remember waking up and going to the bus stop...first bus to arrive was the park we went to.
No Genie +,,,, No park reservations ,,,, no Lightning Lane ,,early park hours morning and night time too.
So much to plan and commit to now plus being connected to a phone on holidays.

A lot of people are going to say that's too much for the littles, but I had the opposite experience on our last trip, which was our first as parents of a little kid. We had 10 days, and they were ALL park days. Sitting around a pool with little kids was actually more stressful than we'd anticipated so it worked out that we just spent most days on the go. BUT, where we didn't have any specific rest days, we did just generally take it slow.
