Park Passes

When do you buy your park tickets? Is it best to buy them online or once you get there? We're leaving in a week and forgot all about buying the entrance tickets. I have all of our dining reservations, accomidations, and even a sleigh ride reserved but I forgot about the most important thing. Now I'm trying to decide if I should just wait until we get there or if I should order them and pick them up at the will call desk.

If it were me, I would wait till I got there. We have bought ours online and when we got there. I can say that I have not really noticed any advantage getting them online.

We have never had to wait in a big line buying them when we get there.

Hope that helps some. Maybe others will post there experiences.

Isn't there an "advance purchase" discount that you get if you buy online? I am not sure how much this would be, but it might be worth going to will call if you have enough people in your party to make the discount significant.

I bought my tickets on line through Disney's web-site, and saved around $40 for an advance purchase. We are leaving in less than a week, so rec'd via "will-call" and printed out receipt. Tickets can be picked up at Epcot guest services, but don't forget "will call" confirmation. One does not get the discount for advance purchase at the park. I could be wrong, but I did not find a discount for park tickets better than the advance purchase at Disney. And the Disney store does not sell 10 day tickets, only up to 7.

If you have a Disney Store near you, you can purchase passes there for the same price that you can get them online. It's a personal preference whether you want to have them in hand, or want to take the time to get them when you arrive. For me...I like to have them, so I am ready to go!
I always pick mine up from the Disney Store the week before we leave.
