Park Pass Question

We have a 7 day base ticket for our upcoming vacation. If at some point during those seven days we want to start park hopping, can we add that option? If so, do they charge us for the previous days that we've already used since it was a 7 day pass, or just for unused days? IE, If we decide we want to park hop on day 6 and 7 , can we add it to the pass after day 5? I'm not sure we'll need this option, so I didn't get it.

Yes, you can add it at any point, but you will pay the cost as if you purchased it on Day 1.

Park hopping is the same flat $40 fee no matter how many days it applies to on your ticket.

To add the Park Hopper Option on a 7-day base ticket would be I believe $32. You will be charged the full fee regardless of whether you have all 7 days left or only 2 days left. They charge you based on what your original ticket purchased was.

My suggestion would be to add the park hopper option before your trip, that way you have the option to park hop from Day 1, and get more use out of your money.

Not sure where you get $32 from - Park Hopping is a $40 fee.

Sorcerormickey is correct. There is a flat fee of $40 (plus 6.5% tax) to add the hopping option to any MYW pass. That fee is the same whether it is a new, unused 7-day pass or a 10-day pass with one day remaining.

ok I have a stupid question - apologies I'm new. We're staying at Pop C for a week and have a seven day pass (not a hopper) so do you have to go to 4 different parks first & then choose which ones you want to go back to for the remaining 3 days? or how does it work? And if you do the plus thing - ie Waterpark - hwo many times can you go to the waterpark, etc., & does it have to be within that week? Sorry for these - but I am blonde & very new. thanks for your indulgence

Park hopper price depends on the length of stay- a 1 day myw with hopper, the hopper option is $40(extra). However on a 7 day ticket it's $32(extra). Now as for Kimmy's question. You can go to any ONE park per day, so you could go to Magic Kingdom everyday or each park a different day.As for the plus option, it depends on the length of stay your ticket is(you get more plus option the longer your base ticket is).And unless you purchase a non-expire option you have to use everything on that pass within 14 days of first use.

The Park Hopper option is NOT based on the length of the ticket.

It is a flat $40 fee. The only option whose cost is based on length of the ticket is the non-expiration option.

When you purchase in advance, there is a discount - and the park hopping option is only $32 more than the base ticket.

However, when taking your ticket to be upgraded, you will be issued a credit that is based on the GATE price of the admission you purchased. You will then be charged GATE price for the new ticket you want.

The difference between a 7 day base ticket and a gate price 7 day ticket with hopping is $42.60. ($40, plus $2.60 Florida sales tax)

You can choose which park you want for each day in any combination, order, or repetition.

The plus thing (Water Park Fun & More) is another flat fee, $53. gate price including tax, when purchased with or added to any ticket. You can choose which minor venue (Blizzard Beach, Disney Quest, etc.) in any combination, order, or repetition up to the number of visits that you get, which varies with the number of park days. If you wish you can go to water parks on different days from theme park visits so with the 6 plus visits that come with a 7 day pass you could do something on up to 13 different days (out of 14 consecutive if you did not get non-expiration).

You do not need hopping to go to two or more minor venues, or to one theme park and one or more minor venues, on the same day.

This is, as has been stated, a flat rate - it costs $40 if you upgrade a one-day pass to include the hopper option, it costs $40 if you upgrade a ten-day pass to the hopper option.
And to Kimmycan - you get a predetermined number of Plus options, based on the number of days base pass you purchase. You can use them in any combination you choose, but not to hop. For example, if you go to Blizzard Beach in the morning and Pleasure Island that night, that uses up two plusses. In addition, unless you purchase the non-expiring option, all your options expire after fourteen days from first use. So, for example, if you first use your pass to enter ANY park on February 14, you can use it any or every day between then and February 27; on the 28th, it's no good any longer.
