Park Openings

I have never been to any other park except the Magic Kingdom when it opens. Do the others do anything special?

At Animal Kingdom, they will select a youngster to beat a drum and countdown 3..2..1 and then open the turnstiles.

You can go thru the oasis and to the bridge in front of the tree of life (rest of the park is roped off) where some characters will come by in a bus and perform a cute opening skit. The rope drops and then you can follow the bus back to the Safari ride.

It's a pretty cool opening.

You should go to Epcot. Epcot has Spaceship earth which will blow your mind when you see it. The size makes the castle look tiny.

Each park is so unique you really should see them all. They are extremely unique and each is fun. I dont particularly get into the AK but they really all are worth seeing if you never have.

You should see the fireworks at Epcot as well as the Fantasmic at MGM.

It was great at MGM during Star Wars Weekends....they opened the park with a pre-show that included Storm Troopers on top of the gate area!

At EPCOT, some of the staff come out on the Segway machines. THen teh doulbe decker bus comes by loaded with characters. Once teh bus goes by, they countdown and drop the rope. THe bus lets the characters off on the far side of space ship earth for meet and greets.

They all do a little something, but I still think MK is the most fun with the characters coming in on the steam train
