Park hopping question

We are not going until spring break, but I’m trying to learn about Genie and start getting a strategy. We’ve always gotten hoppers because we really value the flexibility. I am annoyed that you can’t hop until after 2:00 now and am concerned about how it might affect the trip. My question is whether or not you can be denied entry to a park you’re trying to hop to? Are they ever at capacity during busy times?

We typically go at slower times and we’ve not been since pre-covid and I’m a bit nervous about the crowds. I feel like spring break is going to be crazier than normal because so many more people will be traveling.

Technically, yes they can shut down park hopping, however, the only time it's ever happened to date has been October 1 at Magic Kingdom, but it was only for a period of time and was available again in the evening. I'd pay attention to Christmas week through new years weekend to see if it happens then. If it's not an issue at that time, spring break should be fine too.

The only time I've seen it happen thus far was a few hours on October 1 at Magic Kingdom only.

Thank you! Ok, another question. If you have an ADR, will they let you in if it’s at capacity or no?

If it's the park where you have a reservation, you're covered all day. If it's a park you're hopping to that has closed to hopping, I don't think the ADR saves your spot.
