This is my first post on the board - I have know idea if this is an off topic subject - if it is please forgive me.

I unfortunately will only be at the Big Mouse House for 2 days and noticed that there are NO 2-day park hoppers available on any of the sites I have looked at - BUT I have noticed that some people sell the leftovers of their 5 and 7 day Park Hoppers with options on e-bay. So here are my questions:

Are these park hoppers actually transferable to other people?

Are there things I need to worry about when purchasing these on e-bay??

Are they not tracked by name?

How do I put one of those clock things on my post?

Do not purchase park hoppers off of Ebay! First of all, they are technically non-transferable. Secondly, you have no way of knowing that the passes actually have the number of days left that is claimed by the seller and you won't know until you show up to WDW to use it. Thirdly, often times those tickets sell on Ebay for actually more money then they cost at face value!!! That I just don't simply understand. I suppose one deserves to be taken if they are willing to pay $250 for a 4 day park hopper!

Anyway, I strongly advise staying away from doing it this way. Why not purchase a 4 day park hopper from Disney and then save the other 2 days for a future trip. :D

By the way, WELCOME TO THE DIS! You will become hooked like the rest of us! ;)

Oh, and to get the countdown at the bottom of your post, visit the Technical Support board, there is a link to instructions near the top of the page.

WOW - Thanks for the helpful information -

Unfortunately the 4 day park hopper is not going to work for me - I do not plan on coming back - I live in California and am only going to be at WDW because I am going to be arriving early for a conference.

What a bummer

Check with the conference organizers to see if they are offering any Disney tickets. Conferences often offer hopper passes for a shorter duration that are not available to the general public.

I have a park hopper on ebay now. We bought 5 days passes and could only use 4 days. If you do buy one on ebay I'd recommend the following:

- Only buy from users who have been registered for quite some time

- Only buy from users who have a history of many auctions and positive feedback

- Request additional documentation such as the original receipt

The 2nd poster is correct. Most of the tickets go for more than face value, which makes the whole issue somewhat moot. I have no idea why people pay so much for these, but it actually made my tickets cheaper :bounce:

Well - I've spent the past 2 HOURS reading post with the words "tickets" in them - That only took me back to the beginning of March.

I thought I'd go crazy with all the "no - what so and so told in not true" or "I think you can do that, but I'm not sure..."

Why does Disney make this so hard to do??:mad:

It seems like it would be so much easier if you could buy HP with the number of days you want, then be able to add plus options. This whole thing is enough with make you not even want to go.

Then I came across post with in the past few days that showed "ticketmania" and "centralfloridatickets" offering 3 day HP + 1 for a resonable price, but I was UNABLE to find them available anyway - Are they hiding somewhere that I can't find them??

I just want to give up - I have no idea how all of you fanatics put up with the way they yank you all around.

Ticketmania and Central Florida Travel do not list the 3 day hoppers on their websites. If you get the telephone numbers on their websites and call direct, they should be able to help you.

MickeyScooter-

My husband attends a conference in Orlando every year. The conference ALWAYS makes availabe to attendees special "not available to the general public" hopper passes. He has been able to purchase different types including:

one-day hoppers (you could buy two)
after 2pm passes (since you probably are in session in the morning)

Check your conference materials!

You do know that you can convert leftover days from a WDW park hopper (and only from a PH or PHP) to DL admissions, don't you? You will have too take the ticket to Guest Relations at DL and they will have to call WDW guest relations to confirm that the ticket is still valid. There is a drawback though. When the PH gets converted, you will lose the ability to park hop at DL, so you can only see DL or DCA, not both in 1 day. You will also lose any leftover plus options that a PHP might still have had.

I just received in the mail yesterday 3-Day Park Hoppers purchased from Central Florida Travel. They were $155/Adult and, sorry can't remember, either $125 or $135/child. Ordered them Monday and received them Wednesday along with a bunch of assorted coupons for use in the Orlando area. You must call to inquire about/order these, they don't have them listed on their website.

Going back to the orginal question. I personally would be wary of purchasing on e-bay simply because there is no way to verify whether the hoppers actually have unused days until you get to the parks and try to use them. Be that as it may, the hoppers themselves are not name or owner sensitive and anyone can use a hopper that has been bought by someone else. They do state that they are not transferable but such provisions are mainly aimed at scalpers trying to sell a lot of tickets at higher prices than they paid for them and Disney is not going to go on an enforcement binge against those just trying to get rid of the unused portion they have left.

One extra thought from someone who bought Ebay hoppers last year: We paid too much for a pair with two days left ($125 per, I think), for friends joining us. I bought them from a reputable dealer who'd sold several, they worked great, and we still didn't feel comfortable until we were in the park on the second day. Major sweat. I'll never do it again, especially when for a fraction more you can get legitimate 3 day tickets from one of the sources listed here. That feeling of walking up to the gate and holding your breath isn't worth it.
