Can she up grade just her ticket and the nephews and not the sisters? once there?

Since our last 3-4 trips are for the Epcot Food & wine fest-we HAVE to have hoppers

This is a hard question to answer. Out of our last 4 trips, twice we had PHs, twice we didn't. When we didn't have them we just went back to the same park each evening if we took an afternoon break and we planned our adrs and FPs accordingly. The first time we had PH was for a week long trip with 3 park days. We hopped 1 time on 1 day. This last time I had 3 park days and I hopped the last two days. The first day I just did MK. The second day I did EP and HS (for dinner and Fantasmic), the next day I did AK, HS and EP (just for Illunimations).

I would add the PH for just you and nephew once you need them. Maybe you'll decide you don't want them and that's money you save.

Also, you could save by thinking about how many days your Dad is going to the parks. If he's not going to use all 5 days of his tickets, just buy the number of days you need for him. If he's only going for 2 days, buy a package with just 2 days for everyone. You can upgrade everyone else's tickets for the number of days they need. This only takes a few minutes and can be done when you check in. If he only wants 2 days instead of 5 days, that saves about $130...which could pay for the PH upgrade for you and your nephew. ;)

We've never gotten park hoppers before because I've never been able to justify the expense. This year though we will have them and I'm looking forward to them because often in the past going to multiple parks would have been nice. I'd do the wait and see approach for your upcoming trip, you can always add them on.

We are not buying him tickets at all.

We always get hoppers (or AP's) and wouldn't go without them, but it's a personal decision that each family must make - no 'one size fits all'!!
